Reiterates its request t the Standing Cmmittee n Finance t further explre hw it can enhance its wrk n the measurement, reprting and verificatin f supprt, based n the best available infrmatin n the mbilizatin f varius resurces, including private and alternative resurces, thrugh public interventins; 6. Agrees t further enhance the technical examinatin f pprtunities with high mitigatin ptential, including thse with adaptatin, health and sustainable develpment c-benefits, in the perid with a fcus n accelerating the implementatin f actins; 7. Decides t cntinue this examinatin under the [COP] [Intergvernmental Preparatry Cmmittee fr the entry int frce f the Paris Agreement]; 8. Reslves t imprve the access f, and participatin by, develping cuntry experts in the technical examinatin prcess; 9. Encurages Parties, Cnventin bdies, internatinal institutins, and nn State actrs t cperate in facilitating the implementatin f plicy ptins and actins identified during the technical examinatin prcess; 10. Requests the secretariat t supprt and respnd t this examinatin by: a. Updating, n an annual basis, the technical paper n the mitigatin benefits f actins and n initiatives and ptins t enhance mitigatin ambitin; b. Preparing and publishing summaries fr plicymakers; c. Strengthening inter cnventin cperatin and crdinatin; 11. Acknwledging with appreciatin the results f the Lima Paris Actin Agenda building upn the climate summit cnvened n 23 September 2014 by the United Natins Secretary General and the grwing cntributin and imprtance f these effrts t internatinal cperatin t address climate change; 12. 8 ELEMENTS FOR A DRAFT DECISION ON WS2 In light f the urgency t enhance actin t cmbat climate change, with the aim f catalyzing ambitin in an efficient and nn-bureaucratic manner: 1. There is need t gather infrmatin frm parties f the impacts f the TEMs that have been held up t date. The COP decisin culd request the TEM/Secretariat t cnduct such an exercise with the help f parties, including impacts as related t scientific recmmendatins as well as t c benefits such as health and savings in resurces. 2. As a cmplementary exercise, there culd be a benefit frm assessing nging climate actin-related prgrams and prjects supprted by internatinal cperatin (bilateral r multilateral), that may have nt riginated frm TEMs. The COP decisin culd invite Parties t prvide relevant infrmatin t be cmpiled by TEM/Secretariat. 3. A key element f the decisin is t trigger preparatin f prject prpsals t replicate successful prjects presented in TEMs fr interested parties, as well as t establish a mre direct cmmunicatin channel with the entities f the financial mechanism f the UNFCCC. The COP decisin culd invite entities f the financial mechanism t attend TEMs, t interact with parties and evaluate viability fr replicatin f prjects presented in TEMs. 4.
