2 5 ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION 5.1 Correspondence to transfer 1 plot (Fawcett): Range 10BL Lot 6 Plot A CEM Aberdein - Baker transfer of plot, Fawcett Range 10BL Lot 6 Plot A Markdale Cemetery, to Eldon and Doreen Fawcett and the Secretary Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction. 5.2 Correspondence to transfer three plots (Fawcett): Range 10BL Lot 6 Plots B,C,D, CEM Baker - Pease transfer of plots, (Fawcett) Range 10BL Lot 6 Plots B,C,D, Markdale Cemetery, to Murray and Gayle Haines and the Secretary Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction. 5.3 Correspondence to transfer 1 plot (Reimann): Range 11B Lucas Lot 8D. CEM Robinson - Aberdein transfer of plot, Reimann Range 11B Lucas Lot 8D, Markdale Cemetery, to Christel Koch and the Secretary Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction.

3 5.4 Corrrespondence to transfer two plots (Long) Range 6 Lot 10 Plots G & H CEM transfer of plots, Long Range 6 Lot 10 Plots G & H, Maxwell Cemetery, to Cindy Hanley (Long) and the Secretary Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction. 5.5 Correspondence to transfer 1 plot (Long) Range 6 Lot 10 Plot C CEM Aberdein - Pease RESOLVE, That the Cemetey Board approve the transfer of plot, Long Range 6, Lot 10, Plot C, Maxwell Cemetery, to Bill Long and the Secretary Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out htis transaction. 5.6 Correspondence to transfer 4 plots (Cornfield) Block: Lucas Range 8 Lot 3AL Plots A-D CEM Baker - Robinson Resolve, That the Cemetery Board approve the transfer of plots, Cornfield Block Lucas Range 3AL, lot 8, Plots A-D to son Keith Cornfield and the Secretary Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction. 5.7 Correspondence to transfer two plots (Haines): Markdale Cemetery Range 2A, Lot 3, Plot B

4 CEM Baker - Aberdein transfer of plots, Markdale Cemetery Range 2A, Lot 3, Plot B and the Secretary-Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction and adjustments. 5.8 Correspondence to sell back plots to Grey Higlands (Karl and Elfriede Engel) CEM sale of the Engel plots (Flesherton Cemetery, Ward G, Lot 31A, Plots 1 and 2) back to the Municipality of Grey Highlands and the Secretary-Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry ou this transaction and adjustments. 5.9 Correspondence to sell back plots to Grey Highlands (Fred and Dorothy Shier) CEM Pease - Robinson sale of the Shier plots (Flesherton Cemetery Ward G, Range 31B, Lots 1-2) back to the Municipality and the Secretary-Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction and adjustments Correspondence to transfer three plots (E. Maxwell): Maxwell Cemetery

5 CEM transfer of plots, E. Maxwell Range 3, Lot 11 Plots B, E, and F. Plot B ownership to be in the name of Mikal Maxwell, Plot E ownership to be in the name of Alex Maxwell and plot F ownership to be in the name of Kevin Maxwell and/or Karen Redpath and the Secretary Treasurer is directed and authorized to carry out this transaction Aberdein - Marketing of Columbarium; Flesherton Road maintenance and snowblowing; financial statements and bookkeeping for cremations; expansion of plot areas including in front of and behind crematorium; cemetery annual statements; regular meetings. Discussion on sale of colmbariums and suggestion to place an advertisement in the newspaper to market the sale of the niches. It was noted that through the Community Development and Corporate Relations Task Force that a report would be forthcoming regarding advertising for Grey Highlands. The Board agreed to wait to review the report Resale of Interment Rights - Changes under Funeral Burial & Cremation Services Act The Secretary Treasurer provided a brief report on the new regulations under the Funeral Burial and Cremation Services Act. Currently the Cemetery By-law states that any sale of interment rights has to be made through the Cemetery Board. Prior to this legislation the resale value was the amount that was paid at the time of purchase less care and maintenance. The new regulations state that the amount of resale is at the current rate less care and maintenance. Consideration should be given that this will have an effect on the budget as an amount will have to be set aside for resale based on current rates.

6 6 CORRESPONDENCE 6.1 Flesherton Cemetery Maintenance - Bill Boyd Received as information. 6.2 Flesherton Cemetery - David Aberdein Question regarding road maintenance on the Flesherton cemetery being used by the Crematorium. Request for copy of Crematorium Agreement and financial statements for next agenda. Discussion on expansion of the Flesherton Cemetery by removing two lines from the tile bed and having reseeded so it is ready for sale in future. Request to ask CBO regarding septic for the crematorium and whether it can be made less. Bring forward information regarding north boundary. Suggestion to obtain a costing for a proper survey of the Flesherton Cemetery, background information from Conservation Authority and confirmation of septic size from CBO. 6.3 Grass Cutting New England Cemetery Received as information. 6.4 Donation to Maxwell Cemetery - Johnson Received as information 6.5 Florence Hellyer - Resignation Markdale Decoration Day Service Received as information 6.6 Donation - Flesherton Cemetery Donna Henderson Received as information.

7 7 NEXT MEETING Next meeting set for September 27th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Discussion on setting meeting dates as follows: 4th Thursday of April, July and September commencing at 1:00 p.m. Agenda items for September 27th, 2012 agenda: Copy of Financial Statement; Copy of Crematorium Contract; Decoration Days; maintenance of paved paths in Markdale Cemetery; Flesherton Cemetery boundary; Markdale Cemetery water line 8 ADJOURNMENT 8.1 Adjournment CEM RESOLVE, That the Cemetery Board adjourn until the Call of the Chair.
