3 Net Pay is Take Home Pay not Gross Pay Amount of pay after taxes and deductions are withheld Employees can find Net Pay amount by Checking most recent bank statement Go to online banking system Contact bank directly Employees must keep in mind the Net Pay Amount necessary to register will change every State Pay Day. Employees only need to register once unless password is forgotten. Non Active employees need to enter Last Name Last 4 digits of Social Security Number Date of Birth Agency where worked Last Check Date Last Official Work Day (Last day employee in an Emp Status 1 ) 3

4 Establishing or changing the password can be frustrating for employees. Employees need to be able to remember the password, but also make sure it is secure. The employee should create a USERID that is uniquely his/hers. NEVER create a USERID or Password that resembles your social security number. Password Requirements: 6-20 characters, combination of upper and lower case letters, minimum of one number and one special character. 8 MCHCP and the ESS Portal From ESS, employers and employees can sign directly in to mymchcp emchcp access is available through the payroll representative s personal mymchcp account 8

10 MCHCP Deductions Medical End of the month and middle of the month Example: 8/30 and 9/15 deductions and employer contribution pay for September medical coverage Dental and Vision Deducted during the current month of coverage Example: 9/15 and 9/30 deductions pay for September coverage. MCHCP Premiums If employee premiums are due MCHCP divides the amount due between pay periods, depending on the amount 1DED is entered by MCHCP File is sent to OA for SAM II processing Letter is sent to employee explaining deduction schedule MCHCP Premiums IF employer contribution is owed MCHCP enters 1DED for entire amount out of next payroll No pay difference to employee Information available on check stub via ESS under MCHCP Health Fringe Payment 10
