3 Accessing the Website Accessing Sentinel s website is easy! Go to sentinelgroup.com and hover over LOGIN in the upper right corner. Select Retirement Accounts in the Individuals category of the dropdown menu. On the Account Access page, enter your User ID and Password into the Account Access Login. If you are logging in for the first time, click Register Online. Once you have entered the required information, press Next. To successfully register online, you will need to know your Plan Access Code. If you do not know your Plan Access Code, you can find it in your enrollment materials or you can obtain it from your Human Resources representative. After you complete the registration process, you will no longer need the Plan Access Code to enter your account. All you will need to remember is the User ID and Password that you created. You will receive an confirmation of your completed registration within 24 hours. Page 3 I (888)

4 Accessing the Website The website has been designed to provide optimal viewing across a range of devices, including desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones. The web pages detect the visitor s screen size an present a layout that minimizes the need to scroll, resize, etc. When viewing the site at full screen with standard resolution on a desktop computer, the menu options are laid out horizontally across the blue bar near the top of the page. When viewing the page on a mobile device or in a smaller desktop window, you will see three white lines, or a hamburger menu, on the left side of the blue bar. Tapping or clicking this menu will present a vertical display of the menu options. Page 4 I (888)

5 My Plan Dashboard The Dashboard is designed to summarize your entire retirement plan account and display commonly requested information in a clear and concise manner. The design of the Dashboard places a lot of emphases on helping you, as a plan participant, make informed decisions about your retirement. This includes a Track Retirement widget that helps to project your retirement income as well as a prominent display of your Account Balance and a Contribution Rate widget that shows contribution rates by source. From the Dashboard tiles, you can analyze your projected retirement income, update your investments, or change the amount you are contributing to your plan*. *This is an optional feature that may not be available for all plans. 6 My Plan Dashboard The Track Retirement tool is designed to encourage retirement readiness by showing how much you can expect your account to provide during retirement. With an at-a-glance widget, you can take a quick look into your future. Provides the answer to how much your account is likely to yield each month in retirement Compares your projected monthly income to your retirement income goal, which you can modify on the flip side of the Track Retirement tile Demonstrates how saving more can impact your monthly withdrawals This tool also offers the My Retirement Analysis that gives a much more in depth look at your current, and hypothetical, retirement situations. Extends analysis to other resources Other assets, Social Security, other income Evaluates different withdrawal rates during retirement and how likely each is to last through your retirement years Illustrates the impact of additional contributions Page 6 I (888)

7 My Plan Dashboard In the center of the Dashboard, the My Portfolio section provides you with a comprehensive look at your investments through different view options. You can view your portfolio by fund, asset class, performance and source and can also select the performance model to use, including year-to-date, 1 year, 3 year, etc. Below this, a Recent Activity widget displays your 10 most recent transactions. Finally, the Retirement Tips section provides a way to present helpful information about saving for retirement. Page 7 I (888)

8 View Investments Monitor your personal rate of return at My Rate of Return. This page allows you to see your personal rate of return for all investments or your return by a particular investment. You may choose the period you wish to review. Clicking on the various options allows you to view a summary of your rate of return for a specific timeframe. Annually Custom Quarterly Monthly The Investment Returns screen provides 3 Month, Year to Date, 1 Year, 3 Year, 5 Year and 10 Year returns for all available investments in the plan, based upon the S&P database. You can also link to fund fact sheets, review prospectus information and review trading rules for any fund. In addition, you can click on the fund name to view the most updated information for your plan investment using Morningstar technology. Please note that Sentinel receives updated fund prices daily at 8:30 PM Eastern Time. Page 8 I (888)

9 Manage My Account To manage your investments or contributions, choose Manage Investments from the Manage My Account menu. From here, you can update your investment elections, move your existing balance to other investments, rebalance your account, or update your contribution rate. As you proceed through any of these account updates, a bar at the top of the screen will show your progress through completion of the transaction. Page 9 I (888)

10 Manage My Account Change Elections Elect or change how future contributions to your account are invested Move Money Move any portion of your current account balance into one or more investment options Change Contribution Rates* Choose a percentage of pay or dollar amount you would like to save in your plan Rebalance Realign how your current account balance is invested to match how you have elected to invest your future contributions, or select a new target allocation for your investments. Within the Rebalance option, you have the choice between electing a one-time rebalance, setting up a recurring rebalance*, or setting up a new investment allocation for your balance. By selecting the recurring rebalance option, you can opt to automatically have your account rebalanced at the intervals you select. This option allows you to choose the: Rebalance frequency (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually) Day of the month for the rebalance transaction to take place Starting date for your recurring rebalance Threshold percentage to apply on your selected rebalance date *This is an optional feature that may not be available for all plans. 11 Manage My Account If your retirement plan allows for loans, you may model a new loan, view existing loans, and apply for loans online from Request a Loan. Not all plans allow loans, and not all plans that allow loans permit online loans. Please see your Human Resources Department for details. Transaction history is available right at your fingertips! To research requests you made online such as contribution rate changes, transfers etc. visit View Online Requests. To research historical plan transactions including contributions, transfers, fees and distributions, visit View Transactions. You may also download your transaction history into Quicken. 12 Plan Statements & Forms Sentinel will post copies of your quarterly account statement to the Plan Statements & Forms section of the website. If an address is on file, you will receive an notification when a quarterly statement is ready for you to view or download. To receive quarterly statements by mail, you may elect the option online. You may also choose to run on-demand reports using the Create Reports feature. Reports that have been created by Sentinel or by you are stored on this page for future reference. You may delete any reports that you no longer wish to keep on our website. Page 12 I (888)

13 Tools & Education An online Retirement Calculator is available to assist you in planning for your retirement based on your age and desired retirement income. For the more inquisitive, we have created a series of calculators found through the Other Calculators link. A wide range of financial tools are available. Some of them are listed below for your convenience. 14 Request a Distribution When you are eligible to take a distribution, such as after you separate from service, you can make this request from your account online. After logging in to your account, select Request a Distribution to initiate your request. You will be asked to verify your personal information and provide your distribution details. Page 14 I (888)

15 Other Account Information Message Center If there are any items of note about your plan, you will see an alert will indicate how many unread messages are in need of review. at the top of the page. A red circle Profile Next to the alerts is the Profile icon. Click this icon to: Update your personal information Manage your beneficiaries* Change your user ID or password * This option is not available for all plans. 16 Frequently Asked Questions Q. How do I change the amount I contribute each pay period? A. To set up or change your Contribution Rate, click on Change Contribution Rate from the Contribution Rate widget on your Dashboard. Choose the Edit option and select your new dollar amount or percentage of pay you would like to contribute each pay period. Once you have reviewed your request, click the Submit button. You will be prompted to review your election, click Continue to finalize your request. A confirmation of this request will be ed to you. Your HR Representative will also be notified of the change so that your changes can be reflected on your payrolls. Q. Can I borrow money from my account if I need it? A. If your Plan allows, you may be able to take a loan against the balance in your account. There are rules and requirements that apply to any loan which are outlined in your Plan s Summary Plan Description. To apply for a loan, click on the Manage My Account menu and select Request a Loan. Click Get Started to learn about your loan eligibility, calculate your payments, and make your loan request. A loan application fee will be deducted from your account balance. You will receive an confirmation of your loan application. Your loan check will be mailed to your home address on record within 7 to 10 business days. Q. I am still employed, but can I withdraw money from my account if I need it? A. If your Plan allows you may be able withdraw all or a portion of your account balance as a loan or hardship, or you may be eligible for an in-service distribution. Please review the Summary Plan Description for information about in-service distribution options. Q. How do I create and view an account statement? A. From your online account you have the ability to generate an on-demand statement for any date range you choose. To run a statement, click on the Plan Statements & Forms menu and choose Statements & Reports. Select the report you want to run, along with the time period. Hit Submit and then open your report once it has been created. Q. Can I roll money into my plan from a previous employer s plan? A. Yes. If your plan allows, you may roll money from a prior employer s qualified plan or IRA into your current employer s plan with Sentinel. A Participant Rollover Form is available from your Plan Sponsor and contains information about how rollover checks should be made payable. The form much be signed by you and an authorized plan representative. Q. How do I designate a beneficiary? A. To elect or change your beneficiary, click on the Profile icon at the top of the page and select Beneficiaries. Enter your beneficiary details, clicking the Add button to add more than one primary or contingent beneficiary. Once all beneficiaries have been added, click the Save button. Q. Can I change how my current balance or future contributions are invested? A. Yes, under the Manage My Account menu, select Manage Investments. From here, you may select one of several transfer types. See page 9 of this Online Navigation Guide for additional details. Q. Can I view and update my account from my mobile phone or tablet? A. Yes, your online account is fully responsive and can be viewed or updated from a mobile device. Note: All transactions will be processed within 2 business days of receipt.
