3 REPORT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS I m happy to report that 2018 has been another successful year for our credit union. The board would like to thank all of our members, our staff and CEO for their dedication to our Credit Union and making it a huge success. Our merger with Northern Tier Federal Credit Union in Minot has been completed. The management and staff worked very hard to make sure the final core changes went smoothly, with as little disruption as possible to our members. We recently opened a new call center in Minot to help with the increase of incoming calls and to help our branches better serve our members. In January of this year we entered into a merger with the Tolna Credit Union, and expect to have this completed by the end of the second quarter. The board would like to thank our CEO, Bob Herrington, the management team, and staff for their hard work and dedication in making 2018 a very successful year for North Star. We are so proud of your accomplishments. The board meets monthly to review and approve polices, budgets, major expenses and advise management on matters concerning operations. We also attend chapter meetings, state summits, planning and training sessions throughout the year. Brady Martz CPA Firm visits all of the Branches quarterly to review the individual branch operations and completes the yearly audit of the Credit Union. On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your loyalty and support of North Star. Your continued support of the Credit Union is what makes it possible for us to improve financial lives one member at a time. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions please feel free to contact management or any of the board members. Thank you for your support. REPORT OF THE CREDIT MANAGER Michael Black, Chairman The Credit Union disbursed $123,042,679 of loans in 2018 for a total book balance on 12/31/2018 of $242,575,910. Bob Herrington, CEO
