3 Speaker Biographies Ryan Campagna, CFP, AIF Vice President, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group Ryan Campagna is a Vice President for Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group. He has been an employee benefits consultant for both profit and not-for-profit businesses for more than ten years. His area of focus has been in the design, implementation, communication, and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans. Ryan also works with individual investors to help them prepare, execute and monitor their financial plans. Ryan has obtained the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF ), and is also part of a select group of planners who have met the rigorous requirements necessary to call themselves Certified Financial Planner (CFP ) professionals. He is registered with FINRA holding the Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam), and 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Exam) registrations, and is a licensed Life & Health insurance agent. Ryan graduated from Bentley College with a Bachelor s degree in Finance. Jim Carnevale, Esq., CEBS, CFP, AIF Executive Vice President, Personal Investment Services Jim is an Executive Vice President of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group with more than twenty-five years of various insurance and investment experience. Jim leads our Personal Investment Services Group, which includes a team of investment advisors who guide clients through the strategic planning process to implement and maintain their personal financial planning, investment management, college savings plans and individual retirement account decisions. Jim holds a Juris Doctor degree from Massachusetts School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from College of the Holy Cross.

4 John A. Carnevale, JD, AIF President and CEO, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group President, Sentinel Pension Advisors, Inc. John Carnevale is a Founder and President of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group. John oversees the management of four separate businesses and is primarily responsible for the company s vision and business development. During his 26 year career, he has acquired and integrated eleven businesses to grow Sentinel to one of the largest independent employee benefit firms in the United States. In January 2007, John negotiated the sale of Sentinel to Focus Financial Partners where he retains management control over the Sentinel enterprise and an ownership interest in both Focus Financial Partners and Sentinel Management Company, LLC. John graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME in He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School in He serves on several boards including his high school alma mater, St. John s Preparatory School in Danvers, MA. He is a FINRA Registered Securities Representative, General Securities Principal, and Investment Advisor Representative. John holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He is also a licensed Life & Health insurance agent. Jerry Cicalese, QPA, QKA, TGPC, QPFC Senior Vice President, Retirement Services A Senior Vice President in our New York office, Jerry works closely with our plan consultants and plan advisors. He is responsible for executing our strategic vision of providing the best client experience through professional plan analysis and innovative participant outcomes through data analytics. Keeping our clients best interests at heart, Jerry believes that taking a collaborative approach to problem solving is the key to building trustworthy and successful relationships. A great listener, Jerry offers meaningful advice and takes the time to illustrate how something aligns with our best practices. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from St. John s University. Furthermore, Jerry is a credentialed member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries where he holds several professional designations.

5 Robert M. DiMase, AIF Executive Vice President, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group President, Sentinel Insurance Agency, Inc. Rob DiMase is the Executive Vice President of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group and President of Sentinel Insurance Agency, Inc. As a 23-year industry veteran, Rob specializes in the design, implementation, communication and administration of all types of employee benefits plans. Rob began his career as an account executive with Great West Life Assurance and Annuity Company where he was responsible for marketing fully insured and self-funded Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance, Flexible Spending Account programs and 401(k) plans. He joined Sentinel Benefits as a sales representative in In 1998 he became a partner in the organization. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a concentration in Marketing from Boston College. He is a Board member of the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters and an active member on Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Harvard Pilgrim broker advisory boards. Rob holds FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He is also a licensed Life & Health insurance agent and licensed Life & Health insurance advisor. Natasha Espada Founding Principal, STUDIO ENÉE Natasha Espada is the Founding Principal of STUDIO ENÉE architects, a design firm with an expertise in architecture, interior and urban design. She has over 20 years of experience designing award-winning projects for commercial, civic, cultural, and institutional clients. Most currently, she was the architect for the 30,000sf office renovation for Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group and a renovation of the 12 Channel Street office building for the Boston Redevelopment Authority. Natasha has led local and national seminars on "Office Culture and Award-Winning Design, most recently at Architecture Boston Expo. She has also co-authored a chapter for the 2014 American Institute of Architect s Manual of Professional Practice on current trends of project teams and their impact on modern office design. Natasha received a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor in Architecture from the University of Florida. She is an elected member of the Town of Needham's Permanent Public Building Committee and an adjunct professor at Northeastern University's School of Architecture.

6 Benjamin Healy Assistant Vice President, Operations Benjamin Healy joined Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group in 2009 and currently serves as the AVP of Operations. He is responsible for strategic planning and innovation as it relates to Sentinel Benefits' three Operations teams - contribution processing, distribution processing, and trade support. Ben specializes in business process improvement, product management, and client retention programs. Prior to his current role, Ben held various positions within Sentinel Benefits, including marketing, operations, and project management. He most recently served as Client Experience Manager where he evaluated Sentinel s services from an outside-in perspective in order to develop customer-focused business initiatives. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Bryant University. He is currently working towards a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University. Ryan Huard CFP, QPFC, AIF Vice President, Private Client Group, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group Ryan joined Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group in 2006 as a registered representative of Sentinel Securities and an Investment Advisor Representative of Sentinel Pension Advisors, Inc. He offers fee-based investment management and financial planning services to businesses, individuals and their families, and is firmly committed to building long-term relationships with his clients. Whether it s planning for college expenses or retirement, Ryan is passionate about helping his clients succeed and strives to best understand their specific needs in order to help them realize their financial goals. Ryan graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurial Venture Creation at the Whittemore School of Business. Lisa Jones, Esq., CPC, QPA Vice President, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group Lisa Jones has over twenty years of experience working in the retirement plan area. Prior to joining Sentinel, she was Director of Compliance at CNA Trust and team leader of the Midwest ERISA plan specialists at Scudder Kemper Investments, located in Chicago A member of the Illinois bar, Lisa earned her law degree at Chicago Kent College of Law and a bachelor s degree in marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has attained the Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries.

7 Dan McGrath Co-Founder & Director of Marketing, Training & Education, Jester Financial Technology Dan McGrath is considered to be one of the country s leading experts on the subject of health related costs and how they will affect retirement and the overall the financial planning process. He is the Co-Founder of Jester Financial Technologies, a firm dedicated to providing education and software tools for financial advisors and investors to use in order to determine the expected costs for health coverage in retirement. Jester Financial has recently been chosen to provide the health care data for Money Guide Pro, the country s leading financial planning software, which is currently utilized in over 90 different financial firms and financial industry organizations. Dan has also authored the bestselling retirement planning book What you don t know about retirement will hurt you as well as Medicare: A Practical Guide to Understanding Your Health Coverage in Retirement. He can be heard as a radio personality on WSMN 1590 AM, Nashua New Hampshire s Source for News and Talk Radio, as he hosts Eyes and Ears Wide Open, along with being a reoccurring guest on America Tonight with Kate Delaney. Samuel Mitchell Executive Vice President, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group Sam Mitchell joined Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group in 2000 and is currently the Executive Vice President of Sentinel Benefits Group. Sentinel Benefits Group is one of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group s four businesses and provides consulting and administration services to organizations throughout the United States. Sam oversees all aspects of the business, including operations, client experience and business development. Prior to Sam s most recent position, he has held leadership positions throughout the organization. This included 401(k) plan administration, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, COBRA administration and other fringe benefits. Sam specializes in the design, implementation, communication and operation of all types of employer-sponsored benefit programs. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Accounting from Gordon College. He also holds the Certified Flexible Compensation (CFC) designation from the Flexible Compensation Institute.

8 Greg Puig Benefit Consultant, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group Greg Puig joined Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group in 2011 and currently serves as a Benefits Consultant. He is responsible for providing expert advice, developing solutions and executing strategies for current and future Health & Welfare clients. Greg specializes in consulting individuals and groups on how to create a robust, yet cost effective, benefits package. A large part of Greg s focus is ensuring his clients are educated and compliant with regards to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Prior to his current role, Greg worked on the operations team in Retirement Plan Services and as a Benefit Analyst as a member of the insurance team. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Connecticut - Storrs. He is also a licensed Life & Health insurance agent and holds his PPACA designation through the National Association of Health Underwriters. Scott Riordan Director, Health & Welfare Services, Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group Scott joined Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group in 2008 and currently serves as Director of Health & Welfare Services. Scott oversees client experience and business development for this team. Prior to Scott s most recent position, he held various roles on the Health & Welfare team which included both project management and plan consulting. Scott specializes in the plan design and implementation of benefit plans and administration services, including Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Health Savings Accounts and COBRA. As part of this, he focuses on employee education and awareness as well as strategic planning. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Providence College. He is currently working towards a Masters in Business Administration from Babson College.

9 James Slotnick, JD Assistant Vice President, Sun Life Financial For over a decade, James Slotnick has helped employee benefit brokers, financial advisors, and the end-consumer understand the ever-changing insurance industry. Leveraging his sales and legal backgrounds, James is able to break down complex insurance topics into understandable concepts that help both brokers and end-consumers make informed decisions. Most recently, he has been providing education about the impact that health care reform will have on the employee benefits industry. James also frequently speaks about the legislative climate in Washington, Social Security Disability planning, disability plan design, and income tax planning. From 2002 to 2012, James held numerous sales and management roles at Sun Life Financial. After leaving Sun Life in 2012, James became a Director for Prudential Annuities' Advanced Planning Team. James returned to Sun Life in 2013 to become AVP of Advanced Markets and Broker Education. James holds a BA from Saint Anselm College, an MBA from Suffolk University's Sawyer School of Management, and a JD from Suffolk University Law School. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar. James lives in Westwood, Massachusetts with his wife, Julie, and two children, Hannah and Henry.
