Discussion Regarding Sending Mortgage Clause at Policy Level in the MNBP 811. Work group made updates to TGC Section of BRTS for the new change request. Key Discussion Item General Mortgage Questions 266/824 Add-Ons to 820 how do carriers handle exceptions? Is there an opportunity for a new transaction set to provide a response to an 820? Current process is manual. Items hit a list for manual review and processing. Lenders could send a due but no bill on the 266, which would generate an 811 and a subsequent clean 820. Carrier Websites Discussion regarding legal inquiries, security and privacy and customer data such as loan number. CR1464 could address some concerns because it takes the human element out. TGB Rep: Tim Corry has expressed interest in the TGB position that is open. Louisiana Bill (LA HB287) Provides for the return of unearned premium to the mortgagee; to provide for notice of claim payments to the mortgagee No one present in the room had seen this legislation yet. Sue will share the bill on imeet. 811/ What is the process when the lender handles the billing and payment instead of the tracking company? Tracking companies typically provide a report to the lender so they can process payments. Some of these lenders remit on paper instead of EDI. 4 2. Is there a code in the 811 for non-renewal? There is not a true non-renewal code. There is a code for Cancelled (COC). After further discussion it sounds like an issue with one carrier who is sending incorrect termination date. 3. Coverage information is not required on cancellations but is expected on reinstatements. Key Discussion Item CR1464: Insurance Carrier and Lender/Tracker Request and Response (DM040215) Waiting for TGC solution. Sue will send a note to Kelly Butler. Key Discussion Item General Auto Questions 1. Regarding policies for vehicles that have a stated value amount. There is currently no code for a stated amount (agreed value) in the auto 811. Stated amount segment DOES exist in v4010 of the auto 811. These vehicles are probably not being sent via EDI. There does not seem to be much interest in the industry for moving to v4010 for auto. 2. Is it possible to send operator information in the auto 811? WG would like to understand why. Paper documents do not contain operator names. Operator name not included in v4010 either. Most tracking companies present would ignore the data. Excluded drivers are currently included in the HL8. Operator information could be added to the HL8. Name segment within the HL8 is max 2. Increasing the max usage would require a new version of the standard. Key Discussion Item QR Code vs. Bar Code for Paper Documents QR Code could contain the information on the document so the QR code could be scanned and processed vs. manual input. Could X12 standard be used to decipher the QR code? Or we could include a URL that allows the lender to ping carrier websites for the information. This process could provide cleaner data at the lender and generate less follow ups and eliminate human error. Carriers would expect a request to update the policy to enable EDI if applicable. Jeff attended the meeting today at 1:00 with X12N co-chairs. X12 management has a goal to publish an XML isomorphic equivalent for all standards by first quarter Watch for additional communication in Pittsburgh at the fall meeting. Key Discussion Item TGB Management Updates Draft minutes due June 9. Room reservations due the end of the week. TGB co-chair election will take place at the fall meeting. Nominations are open. Key Discussion Item Situational Rules in the Mortgage Record Change Notification (266/824) Steve Bass can take our updates from an Excel spreadsheet and update the situational rules in the v4010 guide. After our updates are ready, WG must go through the entire change process including public review, voting, etc. WG reviewed situational rules and made adjustments. 5 See WG7 imeet space for full report. ASC X12N/TGBWG Key Discussion Item CR1340: Create a New TR3 Auto Insurance Financial Responsibility Filing (DM024112) Waiting for a response from TGC. Waiting to see if the WSDL is going to be part of the TR3. Schema was published. Work was done on the guide and it is completed except for the WSDL. WG was waiting on a decision from TGC in regards to the WSDL. Sue will request a status before WG7 makes a decision. Key Discussion Item CR1571: Create a New TR3 Auto Insurance Notification (DM025112) Work never started. Schema was published. No states have adopted the standard. X12 will no longer support CICA. Industry will not support a process that is not supported. WG7 voted to close the CR. The industry knowing that the standard is unsupported will most likely go with another standards organization such as ACCORD. Key Discussion Item TR3 FR Filing Notification Document Return Errors from the State In regards to CR1340.
