The award in many respects brings Champions Insurance to the limelight and heralds a new beginning where its name and brand is consistently coming to the fore and said in the same breathe with its older peers. MegaFest in its citation before giving out the award said this was a prize in recognition of Champions Insurance leadership with regards to coming up with innovative and relevant solutions for clients in the face of the ever-changing environment. Champions Insurance in the first half of 2017 rolled out its latest product Shopperinsurance. This is a product that designed to make insurance products accessible to people within their immediate environs and the least taxing activity as it could be done while shopping. Under Shopperinsurance, Champions Insurance has partnered with the leading retailers, OK Zimbabwe, Bon Marche, Food World, TM Pick n Pay and Choppies. Champions Insurance Business Development Executive Tapiwa Kahiya who is enthusiastic about the product said, The first phase of rolling out this new insurance experience is now complete with the whole of Harare covered. She is very passionate about her profession and believes in development insurance, a new branch of risk based thinking that believes insurance is not only about risk transfer, but an active economic driver that that supports national growth through insurance innovation. As a wife and a mother at the helm of a top performing company is not an easy task but her professional principles and Christian values have been guiding pillars to her success. She joined Champions Insurance in October 2016 as Head of Operations and within a short space of time, the company has bagged a prestigious award Leadership in Insurance award from Megafest results of innovative projects she has spearheaded.

2 with the rolling out of the product and target that by end of this year we would have covered the whole country. Clients can now access the popular and affordable insurance products from Champions Insurance such as Champions Legal Aid Insurance, Hospital Cash Plan, Road Mortality Plan, Courtesy Car cover, Scholars Personal Accident and schemes such as SME which covers particularly the informal sector and Church Insurance now within their communities without driving into central business district. Star MD From pg1 Madzivire was instrumental in the roll out of ShopperInsurance, a new model of insurance distribution that will see clients accessing insurance covers in retail supermarkets. She is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce Insurance and Risk Management (Nust), ACII Diploma in Insurance (UK) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (ESAMI).

4 MD s Remarks MD Tambudzai Madzivire I humbled to be addressing you for the first time from this desk team Champions Insurance. My appointment and assumption of the office of Managing Director is only a simple act of accepting being a member of the relay team and will run with the baton until the next turn when I hand it over to someone until the race is won. I am delighted to be working with such a wonderful team and hope to build on the success of the past. Yes, as we move along the road changes will be implemented, adopted, adapted but this would be done after consultations and all decisions in the spirit of taking the company forward. May I take this opportunity to thank you for your resilience and dedication to work as exhibited by the awards Champions Insurance has been awarded in the past 12 months year and beyond. This can only be a true reflection of teamwork and cooperation.
