INTRODUCTION The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) oversees the operation of the Greater Vernon Recycling and Disposal Facility. The GVRDF is home to a number of buildings, including a Quonset style structure which serves as an equipment storage area, maintenance shop and Styrofoam processing area. The Quonset is equipped with two (2) ceiling mounted Lennox LF24-115A-6 Unit Heaters. These heaters are at the end of their service life and are in need of replacement. The RDNO is seeking quotations from qualified Contractors (HVAC or mechanical) to supply and install two (2) new Lennox LF24-115A-6 Unit Heaters (or approved equivalent) including all necessary permit acquisition, mounting hardware, venting, gas piping, electrical, testing, commissioning and permit acquisition. The RDNO will compare and evaluate all quotations received to determine the Contractor s strength and ability to complete the work described in the Request for Quotation in order to determine the quotation which is most advantageous to the RDNO. The lowest cost quotation will not necessarily be accepted. 2. TERM The RDNO will issue Purchase Orders to the selected Contractor for supply and installation of two (2) ceiling mounted Lennox LF24-115A-6 Unit Heaters (or approved equivalent). The work must be completed by September 30, PAYMENT The price paid by the RNDO to the Contractor shall include all costs to perform the Scope of Work as outlined herein and as submitted on the Quotation Form. The Contractor shall be paid for the within thirty (30) business days after submission by the Contractor of a properly prepared invoice. Payment will not be made on partial completion of the work. The invoice MUST contain the Purchase Order Number which will be provided to the Contractor by the RDNO. The invoice must be sent to financeap@rdno.ca when ready for payment. The RDNO will not be responsible for any delay in payment arising from the Contractor s failure to meet these requirements.

SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall supply all labour, equipment, materials, fuels, licences, permits, insurance, safety precautions, security and all other things necessary to perform the specified work including, but not limited to: a. Acquisition of all necessary permits b. Mobilization to and demobilization from the GVRDF c. Supply and installation of two (2) new Lennox LF24-115A-6 Unit Heaters (or approved equivalent) d. Supply and installation of all necessary venting e. Supply and installation of all necessary gas piping f. Supply and installation of all necessary electrical and control wiring g. Supply and installation of all necessary mounting hardware h. Testing and commissioning of the units i. Clean up of work area j. Disposal of old units in GVRDF metal pile k. All labour, materials, tools and machinery (including man lift if required) to install the units l. All worker safety equipment and procedures required to safely complete the work in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations. The installation shall meet all applicable codes and regulations. QUOTATION REQUIREMENTS As part of the quotation, the Contractor must provide the complete company name and the name and telephone number of the primary contact person for the work. The Contractor must provide a current WorkSafeBC clearance letter and a copy of their corporate Health and Safety Plan with their quotations. The Contractor must be aware of all WorkSafeBC regulations related to the work covered in this Request for Quotations and must comply with all relevant WorkSafeBC regulations while carrying out the work on behalf of the RDNO. The RDNO is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. As a result, while Section 21 of the Act does offer some protection for third party business interests, the RDNO cannot guarantee that any information provided to the RDNO can be held in confidence. All quotations, after closing time and date, become the property of the RDNO.

4 Request for Quotation No CS37 Page 4 of 7 Unless specifically outlined in the quotation, the services or any part thereof may not be subcontracted, transferred or assigned to another firm, person or company without the prior written authorization of the RDNO. The RDNO reserves the right to not proceed with the assignment or to reduce or expand the scope of the work as necessary. 6. LIABILITY INSURANCE a. The Contractor must maintain public liability and property damage insurance with an insurer satisfactory to the RDNO in accordance with the following terms: i. Comprehensive General Liability Insurance in the amount of not less than $5Million inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury or property damage. ii. Automobile, public liability and property damage in the amount of not less than $2Million per occurrence per owned, non-owned or hired vehicle. b. The Contractor shall maintain ICBC vehicle insurance while carrying out the work. 7. FREEDOM OF INFORMATION The RDNO is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Act. As a result, while Section 21 of the Act does offer some protection for third party business interests, the RDNO cannot guarantee that any information provided to the RDNO can be held in confidence. All Tenders, after the closing date and time, become the property of the RDNO. The parties agree and consent to the disclosure of the Agreement as a matter of public record and acknowledge that applicable laws may require disclosure of information provided by one party to the other party pursuant to, or in connection with, the Agreement. Quotations not received by the submission deadline will be returned (unopened) and will not be considered. Quotations which do not meet the quotation requirements listed herein will not be considered.
