Health and Safety Executive (HSE) The British Government body responsible for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare Health and Safety at Work act 1974 Employers must ensure so far as is reasonably practicable the health and safety and welfare of their employees and anyone else who may be affected by their work activities Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 Every employer shall make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to health and safety of his employees to which they are exposed at work Rachel Bundy 5
