Location The show will be held at Edgewood Stables, located in Lethbridge Alberta. This location is just on the corner of 13 th Street North and 62 Avenue North. Edgewood Stables has an indoor and outdoor riding arena. Stabling No stabling is available for this show. Schedule The show will take place May 5, The show start and end times will depend on the number of entries. The full schedule of ride times will be posted after the closing date, no later than Thursday May 2, The schedule will also be ed to the person listed as contact person on the entry form. Competition and Facility Rules The show will be conducted according to AEF rules as per the Wildrose Rulebook (available on The dressage will follow the rules in Chapter 10 in the Wildrose Rulebook as well as the Equine Canada rules. The abuse or inhumane treatment of a horse by an exhibitor, trainer or other person at an AEF Wild Rose sanctioned competition shall not be tolerated under any circumstances. The competition organizing committee has the right to bar such violators from further participation in the competition if necessary Additional Rules: - Weather permitting, the outdoor arena will be used as a warm-up arena. In inclement weather, a 30 minute warm-up period will be available in the competition ring to be shared by the two riders that are scheduled to ride next. One rider will have to wait in the ring while the other rider completes their test. It is the rider s responsibility to ensure that their horse does not interfere with tests in progress. Excessively unruly horses may be asked to leave. - Lunging will not be permitted. - Riders are to supply their own readers, if desired. 2 P a g e C h i n o o k C o u n t r y D r e s s a g e W i l d r o s e S e r i e s

3 - All athletes must wear approved protective headwear at all times while mounted at the show. This applies to warm up areas as well. See the AEF Wildrose Rule book for Dressage for approved headware. - Each horse and rider combination may compete in a maximum of 3 classes per day. The horse/ rider combination may ride the same test multiple times, or ride different tests. - The safety committee may in their discretion disqualify a rider from continuing a test and riding subsequent tests as a result of an unplanned dismount or other accident. - Dogs must be leashed at all times. No dogs allowed in the arena or on the bleachers. - No littering, this includes cigarette butts and sunflower seeds. Please submit a copy of the membership card with your entry form. The Chinook Country chapter of the Alberta Dressage Association (CC/ADA) is supporting this show. All CC/ADA members are eligible for a discounted class price. Cancellation In case of lack of entries, the show management reserves the right to cancel or postpone the show. In event of postponement or cancellation, all competitors will be notified and all entry fees will be refunded. 4 Prizes Riders qualify for Certificates of Achievement based on the average score of their best two classes; riders must enter into at least two classes to qualify for a Certificate of Achievement. Platinum % + Gold % to % Silver % to % Bronze % to % Participation % to % Participation Award Entry into at least 3 Wildrose shows supported by CC/ADA will qualify the rider for a CC/ADA award, which will be given at the AGM in January This is an award for participation, so no minimum score is required. The award is based on participation per rider (not horse). The Chinook Country Dressage Wildrose Series (May 5, 2019 and August 24, 2019) as well as The Cypress & Medicine Hat Dressage Show (May 18-19, 2019) and CC/ADA Summer Dressage Show (June 15-16,2019) Wildrose shows are included in this Participation Award.
