4 About the analysis Momondo have performed a global travel survey every year since In 2017 we have asked people from 23 different countries about their travel habits. This report covers the national results from all the 23 countries. Data collection took place between the 2nd and the 12th of January 2017 through an e- survey via Cint s panels people aged between 18 and 65, and matching the population of their respective nations regarding to age, gender and geography completed the survey. Apart from this, extra regional and linguistically based respondents were sampled from Russia and Switzerland this year. Results from these datasets can be found in separate reports. The questionnaire was translated into the different official languages of the respective countries before it was sent out to the respondents. Respondents from Belgium and Switzerland could select their preferred language from the various official languages of their countries. These being French, German and Flemish for Belgium, and French, German, and Italian for Switzerland. Along with the total for all countries, the report shows the distribution on the different countries. The All column is calculated from the arithmetic mean (or simple average) of the results from all 23 countries. The names of the countries have been abbreviated in this report and will appear as follows: AT - Austria AUS - Australia BE - Belgium BR - Brazil CA - Canada CN - China DE - Germany DK - Denmark ES - Spain FI - Finland FR - France IT - Italy NL - Netherlands NO - Norway PL - Poland PT - Portugal RO - Romania RU - Russia CH - Switzerland SE - Sweden TR - Turkey UK - United Kingdom US - United States of America iv
