GOVERNANCE TheScholSystemisgovernedbyanine-memberscholboard(Board)electedbythecitizens.Each memberiselectedtoafour-yearterm,andthetermsareconcurent.sepageiforalistingofthepresent membersoftheboardalongwiththeadministrativeoficialswhoareapointezlbytheboard.
9 RegularmetingsarescheduledthefirstandthirdWednesdayofthemonthandareheldintheSchol System'sAdministrationBuilding.Specialmetingsarescheduledasnededandanouncedincompliance withpublicnoticerequirements. TheBoardhasfinalcontroloverlocalmaterslinfitedonlybythestatelegislature,bythecourts,andbythe wilofthepeopleasexpresedinscholboardelections.boardecisionsarebasedonamajorityvoteof thosepresent. Ingeneral,theBoardadoptspolicies,setsdirectionforcmxieulum,employsthesuperintendent,and oversestheoperationsofthescholsystemanditschols.besidesgeneral:loardbusines,board membersarechaq,edwithnumeroustatutoryregulationsincludingcalingboardandotherscholelections andcanvasingtheresultsofelections,organizingtheboard,andelectingitsoficers.theboardisalso responsibleforsetingtheadvaloremtaxrate,setingsalaryschedules,actinga.saboardofapealsin personelandstudentmaters,confirmingreconunendationsfortextbokadoptions,andadoptingand amendingtheanualbudget.
