2 REGISTRATION SCHEDULE Thursday - Friday, January 6-8 Counselors will talk through the registration PowerPoint and hand out materials in the LGI Monday, January Teachers will assist advocate students in completing the registration form and the 5 year plan. Signature blitz week students will actively work on getting signatures for courses they want to take. Counselors will be in the café Monday Thursday to answer questions. Friday, January 15 Course request sheets and 5 year plans are due to social studies teachers Counselors will begin visiting Social Studies classes to meet with each student and input requests into the computer. 2

18 Write the course number and name of your requested English, Math, Science, and Social Studies classes and get the teachers signatures. Then write the course number and name of 3 more periods of classes. (Pay attention some courses are full year and some are half.) 1121 English 2 Honors TP 6430 Animation II JO 18
19 All students MUST list alternates. They need signatures also from teachers. Alternates should include any combination of semester and year long courses, but there must be at least 2 single semester courses listed. Alternates CANNOT be the same as the course requests. If alternates are not listed, counselors will fill in courses of their choosing and changes will not be allowed. 19

Video Game Design read prerequisites(11 th 12 th grade). Musical Theater MAY be offered but have a good alternate if not AP Art History may not make so have good alternates 21

Remember your grade classifications it may keep you from moving up a grade Summer School (registration will occur in late April Credit by exam Retake class Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors can only have one period of no credit (study hall or aide) Seniors may have 2 periods of no credit classes. You may not get them where you want them Have alternates! Credit Recovery (1/2 semester) is intended for students who need to and will make up at least 1 credit not half. If you need a half a credit follow above options. 22
23 After this date, the only altering of courses will be due to errors, failure, summer school, or tryouts. When you pick up your schedule in August, it is your final schedule! 23
24 Signature Blitz Week Students will get signatures/stickers from teachers January Take course request form to ALL classes. Teachers will be asking for them. Any course on the course cheat sheet with an * needs a teacher signature. All Athletic courses need to have a signature of the coach. Before turning in your course request form, you MUST have a parent s signature on your course requests and five year plans (YES, both sides) It will NOT be accepted if it is not correctly signed! No requests turned in counselors will chose classes for you. 24
25 TRYOUTS/APPLICATIONS If there is a + then it will require a tryout or an application. Write any application/tryout course in the fall and/or spring semester areas. Place stars next to alternates you want if you are denied acceptance or are not selected. Alternate credits must equal the number of course credits. Sponsors/Teachers will send out information after registration is complete. Sponsors/Teachers will supply us with a list of those students who should be in that specific class. All others will use their alternates. 25
