3 Minutes Non-Officer/Non-Advisor Attendees Santiago Torres Michael Miller Juan Upcoming Events Lockheed Martin Information Session (Tuesday, February 5 th from 12:30PM 2:00PM in ENB 109) Need PO TriQuint Semiconductor Information Session (Thursday, February 14 th ) Engineering EXPO (Friday, February 22 nd to Saturday, February 23 rd ) Picnic (Saturday, March 2 nd from 10AM 2PM at USF Riverfront Park) Need PO Vice-Chair David Touvell At the moment, the IEEE USF branch is splitting up the work with current officers to fulfill the following duties; however we are still searching for someone to fully take the responsibility of the following duties: Mange the Southeast Conference logistics/registration/student involvement Search for company tours If you are interested in this opportunity please David Touvell at dtouvell@mail.usf.edu Southeast Conference David Touvell The sign-up for SEC is now published on the website. The travel budget is still being worked on. Budget for Next Semester Ayaz Hemani Ayaz just informed IEEE USF that the budget for next year is due on Friday, Janurary 25 th. Palan is currently working on the budget and planning to submit it tonight. Picnic David Touvell The date for the picnic is Saturday, March 2 nd from 10AM 2PM at the USF Riverfront Park. Need P.O. for food. 3

4 S-PAC Shawn Gicka Shawn has published the S-PAC survey and we are now awaiting results. For the S-PAC that we held in December, we have the EE Department and the FWCS agreeing to pay for 1 table, where 1 table is $250. IEEE USF will pay for the remaining amount. Banquet David Touvell The banquet will be on Saturday, April 13 th at MSC 3707 Time: TBA. The following are the possible awards that will be presented at the Banquet: Most Attendance (Spring Semester) SEC Participants Best Mini-Project Khaled has agreed to think up more award ideas for the banquet. EXPO Naval Dhawan The Engineering EXPO will be held on Friday, February 22 nd and Saturday, February 23 rd. The sign-up for volunteering for EXPO with IEEE USF is now published on the website. If you are interested in volunteering for the Engineering EXPO with IEEE USF Naval Dhawan at ndhawan@mail.usf.edu Mini-Projects Robert Orcutt Robert is currently looking at a different time to do workshops so it will not be the same time as Mini- Projects Robert is going to ask Dr. Takshi if SMTA will want to host a joint meeting where we will introduce Surface Mount Soldering. Membership Ken Almirol Ken will be attending some Calc. 3, Circuits I and Circuits II classes to advertise to students. Social Events Khaled Mougharbel Khaled will be looking into the following events: Bowling Night Air Heads 4
