The ADM Steering Committee provides direction to a Director General Committee & the CFR Office on plans and priorities. CFR DIRECTOR GENERAL COMMITTEE Comprised of Director Generals from CFR partner organizations, this group provides guidance in the development of CFR plans to ensure that community resources are allocated towards priority activities to meet community needs. 7 The Community of Federal Regulators (CFR) will concentrate on three strategic areas, as outlined in its Business Plan: Collaboration Talent Management Experimentation Connect organizations to foster collaboration and share regulatory expertise Targeted recruitment and strengthen regulatory capacity across the system Increase community understanding of innovative regulatory concepts and enable their application 5
8 CFR Talent Management Regulatory Professional Development Program Supporting regulatory leadership of tomorrow by providing assignment opportunities for a select set of regulatory professionals to broaden their skills and knowledge Post-Secondary Regulatory Recruitment Supporting recruitment of postsecondary graduates for regulatory positions across the federal government Core Regulatory Training Supporting the development and delivery of core federal regulatory training, including regulatory learning on key skills and promote training developed by the Canada School of Public Service and Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, and others. 7

11 Regulatory Experimentation CFR eregs Pilot Co-led by CFR and PCO First of its kind, this project tested an agile, user-centric, open source platform for regulatory consultations under Part I of the Canada Gazette. Learnings from this project were shared with Treasury Board Secretariat, now tasked to develop an e-regulation system (as announced in Budget 2018) Regulatory Web Renewal Working Group Co-led by TBS, Health and ISED A front-to-end, design-thinking/user-centric approach was applied with internal and external stakeholders to create templates and navigation for how regulatory guidance information would be structured and accessed on Canada.ca.
