EXECUTVE BREF Motion and Title: Staff recommends motion to approve: the Fiscal Year 2013/2014 pathway program. SUMMARY: Approval of the Fiscal Year 2013/2014 pathway program will allow construction of the proposed projects compiled in response to requests from the Palm Beach County School Board, Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office, members of the Board of County Commissioners, and residents of Palm Beach County. The proposed projects include nine new construction projects and ten major maintenance projects. The total program cost is $1,500,000 and is divided into the following categories: School Related Non School Related Major Maintenance ADA and Minor Maintenance Cost and Feasibility Studies Fast Track Schools Total $754,860 $137,740 $498,350 $25,000 $59,050 $25,000 $1,500,000 Countywide (MRE) Background and Justification: The purpose of the pathway program is to provide a system of safe pedestrian pathways in Palm Beach County, with emphasis being given to providing pedestrian access to schools.
