If there is an and in the company name, abbreviate it to &. If space is not available, omit (delete) it. 2. Key a space (sp) between initials in a name if a period is after the initial. If there is not a period then key without the spaces. (Examples 2 & 3) 3. Do not key the word THE in the beginning of the name UNLESS the owner is just one word. (4 th Example) 4. When it is the ending name; always abbreviate Company as CO, Corporation as Corp, Incorporated as INC, Limited as Ltd. 5. If a Company and Person are listed as owners. 3 Numbered Street Numbered streets are not spelled out. The name is converted to a number with the suffix letters St., Nd., Rd., Th., that corresponds to the number (first 1 st, second 2 nd, third 3 rd, and fourth 4 th ). If the St., Nd., Th., is not reflected on the applications, key the letters in. If you have an ½ on a street number, do not key St., Nd., Rd., or Th after the number. 400 N 1234 STREET 400 N 1234 TH ST The address is validated to spell out North, South, East, and West when the street ends with Street Abbreviation. 4 Box Numbers If there is a letter with the number, key the number and letter together. Examples of how to key PO Box numbers. Route is spelled out when used as the street name. 5 DuPage, Kane, and Lake county House Numbers In DuPage, Kane, and Lake counties, house numbers may consist of numbers and letters, then the street name. The number(s), directional letter and other numbers are keyed together. When a house number starts in an address, the number zero 0 is always keyed as an alpha O, not Zero. If a house number and a letter other than a directional letter is reflected, key the house number and letter together. Apartment number (APT #), key APT (space)number. Do not key the # sign or No. If a number and letter, key together. The city where the applicant lives is keyed one space after the address. The city where the post office is located is keyed in the city field.

7 Leinholder Procedures Lienholders will be mostly banks, savings & loans, credit unions, etc. but it is possible to have an individual as a lienholder too. Do not key numbers in the name field of the lienholder, unless it s a School District or union. 1. All lienholder names are single spaced. 2. If a lienholder is an individual, key the name in proper order; First Name, Middle Name and Last Name. If there is a Jr. Sr. etc. one space between the last name and the Jr. Sr, etc. 3. Lienholder and/or Mail to: Use the & sign for and. 4. Lienholder and/or Mail to: Key a space in place of an apostrophe in the first part of the name. Such as O FALLON, key O FALLON. 5. Do not key a space for the apostrophe if it is at the end of the name. For example: Mary s should be keyed as MARYS. 6. Lienholder and/or Mail to: Key a space between initials if there are periods. G.E. CREDIT should be keyed as G E CREDIT. 7. Lienholder: DBA is keyed in the lien name. 8. Lienholder: When there is an Attention, Attn %, or C/O key: ATTN or C/O space and then the name. 9. Lienholder: THE is almost never keyed as the first word on a lien holder mail to unless specified otherwise. Example: THE BANK 10. Lienholder: If the name has As Agent or As Nominee, it must be keyed. 11. Lienholder and/or Mail to: Use a space between small and capital letters in names such as Mc Henry, La Salle, etc. Note: If the name is too long, use the following guidelines. Please refer to the abbreviations addressed later in these procedures. 12. If of a city name (State Bank of Springfield) is given at the end of the name, and you do not have room, leave OF off and spell out city name. You can if space is needed leave off OF SPRINGFIELD as long as the city is Springfield. 13. Credit Union may only be abbreviated as CR UN at the end of the name of the lienholder. Name is spelled out and space limitations prevent you from doing so. Do not abbreviate only Credit or Union, abbreviate both. 14. Abbreviate working from the last word in the lienholder name.

If the word lessor follows these company names, DO spell them out.
