5 Greek Macro Update 2014 Performance & 2015 Economic Outlook GDP Negative Quarterly % Change as of Q Economic Sentiment Indicator reached 92.7 points in Apr.2015, recording its lowest level since Jan.2014 In 2014, real GDP grew by 0.8% following a prolonged recession that started back in 2008 However in Q4.14 real GDP declined 0.4% qoq, ending the upward trend since the beginning of 2013, while Q1.15 was down 0.2% qoq Piraeus has revised its forecast for 2015 real GDP growth rate to a range of 0.5% to 1.0%, with a median value of 0.8%. Our forecasts are subject to the outcome of the negotiations between Greek government and EU partners Given the substantial negative output gap in the Greek economy and taking into account the global lowflationary environment, in 2015 Piraeus expects a deflationary mode in the range of -1.6% to -0.8% Greek State redemptions stand at 17 bn plus 6 bn interest payments and rollover of approx. 15 bn T-bills. 10 Q Corporate Developments Sale of Piraeus Bank Egypt (May 2015) Acquisition of Panellinia Bank Carve-out in Greece (April 2015) Piraeus has agreed to sell its stake (98.5%) in Piraeus Bank Egypt to Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, subject to Central Bank of Egypt and other regulatory approvals ABK has agreed to pay a consideration of $150 mn for Piraeus stake in PBE, valuing the bank at 1.5x PBE s book value as of 31 Dec.14. ΑΒK has also agreed to acquire at par value $23 mn of parent book loans related to the Egyptian operations Piraeus has acquired the good part of co-op Panellinia Bank following a tender offer conducted by the Bank of Greece Perimeter comprises 504 mn customer deposits & 370 mn gross loans; preliminary 0.3 bn funding gap covered in cash As of 17 April 2015, Panellinia s 26 branches operate under the full responsibility of Piraeus and Panellinia's customer transactions have been carried out uninterruptedly The transaction is accretive for Piraeus: The transaction is positive for Piraeus: CET-1 increase by 30bps expected synergies of 10mn liquidity release of 0.2bn positive liquidity of 0.3bn 10 Highlights
