1 How to Read the Project Modification Listings Roadway Section The project listing includes all projects for which Regional Transportation Council action will be requested during this Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) modification cycle. Below is a sample TIP modification project listing. The fields are described below. TIP CODE: IMPLEMENTING AGENCY: COUNTY: CITY: FY: The number assigned to a TIP project, which is how NCTCOG identifies a project. Identifies the lead public agency or municipality responsible for the project. Identifies the county in which the project is located. Identifies the city in which the project is located. 2 PHASE: FACILITY: LOCATION/LIMITS FROM: LOCATION/LIMITS TO: CSJ: DESC: REQUEST: COMMENT: MODIFICATION #: FUNDING SOURCE: CURRENTLY APPROVED REVISION REQUESTED Identifies the phases approved for funding. ENG is Engineering, ENV is Environmental, ROW is Right-of-Way Acquisition, UTIL is Utility Relocation, CON is Construction, CON ENG is Construction Engineering, IMP is Implementation, and TRANS is a Transit Transfer. Identifies the highway or road on which the project is located. VA means Various, CS means City Street, and MH means Municipal Highway. Identifies the starting point of the project. Identifies the ending point of the project. Tracking number the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) assigns to a project. Identifies the project description or scope of work that will be completed in the project. Describes the action being requested through each modification. States any comments related to the project. The number assigned to the modification request by North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) staff. Identifies the sources that are used to fund the project. Chapter III of the TIP/Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) provides descriptions of the different funding categories and outlines abbreviations commonly used for the categories: Provides the total funding currently approved for a project; incorporates total funding for all fiscal years and phases. This table will not appear for a modification that is adding a new project to the TIP/STIP. 18 How to Read the Project Modification Listings Transit Section The project listing includes all projects for which Regional Transportation Council action will be requested during this Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) modification cycle. Below is a sample TIP modification project listing for transit projects. The fields are described below.
