2 DP COURSES 1. DP Induction Course The DP Induction Course is the first phase of The Nautical Institute (NI) DP Operator Certification Scheme. This course will provide participants with basic understanding of Dynamic Positioning and, the advantages and limitations that DP control of vessels offers. Target group Duration Navigators, students on STCW training for Officer Trainees, cadets, DP operator trainees and other users of DP systems who would like to start the Nautical Institute s DP Operator Certification Scheme. The course duration is four days, 30 hrs in total. No of participants Minimum 3 to Maximum 8 Equipment Language Certificate Hands-on experience with DP Kongsberg Simulator The course documentation is written in English and the course will be held in English if not otherwise agreed. On successful completion of DP Induction course, the DP trainees will receive the Certificate of Induction Course completion accredited by the Nautical Institute and DP Logbook. Course fee 800 Euro per seat. For Constanta Maritime University students 600 Euro per seat. DP Logbook 100 Euro. The DP Logbooks are published by The Nautical Institute. 2. DP Simulator Course The DP Simulator course is the second course of The NauticaI Institute (NI) DP Operator Certification Scheme. The overall aim of the DP Simulator course is to provide participants with further insight, experience and confidence in performing offshore operations under DP control. Target group Duration DPO Trainees having sea time experience according to the NI DP Operator Certification Scheme The course duration is four days, 30 hrs in total No of participants Minimum 2 to Maximum 4 Equipment Language DP Kongsberg Simulator The course documentation is written in English and the course will be held in English if not otherwise agreed.

3 Certificate Course fee On successful completion of DP Simulator course, the DP trainees will receive the Certificate of DP Simulator Course completion accredited by The Nautical Institute and the course will be logged into DP Logbook Euro per seat 3. DP Maintenance Course The overall aim of the DP Maintenance Course is to provide participants with basic understanding of Dynamic Positioning and, technical maintenance training to fulfil the requirements of the DP industry. The DP Trainees will learn to identify faulty units and exchange them with spares from stock on board and bring the DP system back into operation. Target group Duration Navigators, students on STCW training for Officer Trainees, cadets and other users who are responsible for the maintenance of DP systems having general knowledge of electronics and computer-based control systems. The course duration is four days, 30 hrs in total. No of participants Minimum 3 to Maximum 8 Equipment Language Certificate DP Kongsberg Simulator The course documentation is written in English and the course will be held in English if not otherwise agreed. On successful completion of DP Maintenance course, the DP trainees will receive the Certificate of DP Maintenance Course completion. Course fee 800 Euro per seat. For Constanta Maritime University students 600 Euro per seat. ENROLLMENT PACK The administrative registration of DP trainees is completed by CMU DP Training Centre in accordance with NI DP Training & Certification Scheme (including entry level requirements) and CMU DP Administration Registration Procedure. Once the application was received and confirmed by CMU DP Training Centre the applicants may proceed to the next step.

4 Step 3. Payments Cash or Bank transfer to Constanta Maritime University s account. Once the payment was completed the CMU DP Training Centre Secretary sends by the course timetable to the DP trainees. DP CANCELLATION POLICY The DP candidates may cancel the course and receive full refund (except for the bank charges) if cancellation occurs minimum one week before the course starts. Otherwise, within one week before the course begins, the DP trainees may reschedule their attendance to a later available training session. Cancellation within one week before the course begins is not possible; in such case the course fee is not refundable to DP trainees. DP CENTRE LOCATION 1. Location The DP Courses are held at Constanta Maritime University DP Training Centre, situated at 104, Mircea cel Batran St. Constanta, Romania. 2. Transport International Airport Mihail Kogalniceanu (CND) is the nearest airport to Constanta, about 20 km (Note that this is a small airport and there are only a few flights per week. Please check: International Airport Henri Coanda (OTP), Bucuresti is about 240 km away from Constanta, approximately 2.5 to 3 hours drive on the highway. Regular airport transfers cover the route from Henry Coanda International Airport (OTP), Bucharest to Constanta. CMU DP Training Centre coordinator can assist you with booking the transport.

5 CMU-DP Training Centre is located close to the sea in the heart of the city. Local transport in Constanta is provided by regular buses during the week from 5.15 to 23.00, at 9-10 min frequency. KONGSBERG EQUIPMENT DP induction 4 units model Kongsberg K-Sim DP Basic, with possibility to simulate the same vessel or different vessels which operate independently of each other. DP Induction Classroom DP simulator Kongsberg K-Sim DP manoeuvring (Full mission DP Simulator) which comprises of Polaris SBS (Polaris Ship Bridge Simulator) connected with DP Class 2 unit (Polaris SBS-K-Pos DP).

7 OFFSHORE TRAINING SCHEME 1. Offshore scheme valid from the 1st of January 2015 The scheme is for the DP candidates entering DP training scheme after the 1st January, 2015.

8 2. Old Offshore scheme pre 2015 The old scheme is applicable to those who started the scheme before 1st January, These applicants will hold the old blue or green A6 logbook or the black A5 logbook. Section A: DP Induction Course + Online Examination Phase B: Minimum of 30 DP sea time days on board a certified DP classed vessel Phase C: Seagoing Familiarisation Watchkeeping Log Minimum of 7 mandatory items completed during Familiarisation DP sea time Phase D: Simulator Course Section E: Minimum of 180 DP DP Watchkeeping experience on class 1 vessels Phase E: Statement of suitability signed off by Master of last DP vessel + company confirmation letter A minimum of 180 days supervised DP watchkeeping experience on a combination of class 1,2 & 3 DP vessels. This must include at least 60 days on Class 2/3 vessels. Any Class 1 time used in this instance will count as 0.5 time Section E: Minimum of 180 DP DP Watchkeeping experience on class 2/3 vessels Phase E: Statement of suitability signed off by Master of last DP vessel + company confirmation letter Complete online DP application and send documents to the NI offices Complete online DP application and send documents to the NI offices Applicant must re-join above process as instructed by the NI NI assesses and verifies documents. Everything OK? LIMITED CERTIFICATE Upgrade from Limited to Unlimited DP certificate: Minimum of 60 DP sea time days onb board a certified class 2 or class 3 DP vessel + Statement of Suitability signed by Master of the last DP vessel + company confirmation letter are requried before submitting documents to the NI. Please see Conversion NI assesses and verifies documents. Everything OK? UNLIMITED CERTIFICATE Applicant must re-join above process as instructed by the NI
