4 KEY FINDINGS: SALARY SURVEY NAEP 2012 In 2012, 5 (up frm 4) f thse surveyed received a bnus, typically <5 f their base pay. As with the previus survey, just ver 10 f the educatinal institutins require specific certificatins. Ten percent (10) verall received a bnus upn earning a certificatin. Seven percent (7) verall received a pay increase, and 3 verall received a ne-time bnus.

7 NUMBER OF YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PROCUREMENT INDUSTRY Abut half f the respndents have been in the prcurement industry 20 years r mre, while abut ne in three have that tenure within the Educatinal Prcurement Industry. 8 ANNUAL BASE SALARY BY NUMBER OF YEARS IN PROCUREMENT NAEP 2012 Overall, abut ne-half f the sample has been in prcurement >20 years, 32 fr years, and 20 fr ten years r less. When salary levels are analyzed by the number f years the individual has been in prcurement verall (nt necessarily educatinal prcurement), there is a direct crrelatin with the number f years in the industry and the salary level. 9 ANNUAL BASE SALARY BY NUMBER OF YEARS IN EDUCATIONAL PROCUREMENT NAEP 2012 T n great surprise, the salary ranges f thse members wh have been in the industry ten years r less (41 f the sample) have lwer salary levels than thse wh have been in >20 years (27 f the sample). Thse wh have been in the industry between 11 and 20 years (32) weight slightly mre t the $70K+ incme levels and are mre evenly split acrss the categries than thse wh have been in the industry either mre than 20 years (skew higher) r less than ten years (skew lwer incme levels). 10 ANNUAL BASE SALARY BY SCHOOL TYPE Overall, 47 f thse respnding t the salary survey were emplyed by a public 4-year cllege and 33 a private 4-year cllege. Cmmunity clleges accunt fr 15, while 1 were fr-prfit institutins and K-12. There are n significant differences in the salary distributin f the private and public schls. Salary levels f cmmunity clleges weight slightly heavier in the $70K r less categry. 11 ANNUAL BASE SALARY BY SCHOOL TYPE AND SIZE (BASE = PUBLIC/PRIVATE SCHOOLS) NAEP 2012 Overall, 44 f the public/private schl sample was frm large public schls, while 14 are emplyed by small public schls. Nineteen percent (19) are als emplyed by large private schls, while small private schls accunt fr 22 f the sample base. Thse emplyed at larger private and public schls are mre apt t have higher percentage levels in the $70K r mre categry. 13 ANNUAL BASE SALARY BY AGE There is a high crrelatin f salary level with age the higher the age, the higher the salary level, and the yunger the respndent, the lwer the salary level. Thse chrts aged 43 r less (18 f the sample) fall mstly within the $70K r less categry. Thse chrts aged (45 f the sample) are heaviest in the <$50K and $70K-$100K categry. Thse chrts aged (26 f the sample) trend t the higher ($70K plus) salary categries. Only 10 f the sample reprt age at 63 years r higher. These individuals weight heavier in the $100K r ver segment. 18 ANNUAL BASE SALARY BY CERTIFICATIONS EARNED A significant 59 (up frm 56) f the sample indicate they have a 4-year cllege degree, with anther 29 (up frm 20) indicating they earned a Master s Degree. Additinally, 21 reprt receiving a C.P.M. and 12 a Lifetime C.P.M., while 8 say they have a CPPB. Overall, 11 (dwn frm 16) reprt n certificatin r degree. There is a high crrelatin between higher salary levels and a Master s Degree r Lifetime C.P.M. 19 INCIDENCE OF RECEIVING PAY INCREASE UPON EARNING A CERTIFICATION NAEP 2012 Abut 10 verall claim they received financial cmpensatin upn earning a certificatin. Anther 45 reprt they did nt receive an increase in pay in recgnitin f their accmplishment. Fr 45 this was nt applicable.
