1 LV= Travel Isurace Policy Summary This documet is a summary of your policy. The full terms ad coditios of your policy ca be foud i the documet of isurace ad your isurace schedule. The isurace policy is uderwritte by Liverpool Victoria Isurace Compay Limited. If you have a Premier policy, the cover for bakruptcy of a ed provider of a elemet of your trip (Sectio L) is provided by Iteratioal Passeger Protectio Limited. The 24-hour assistace service ad claims for emergecy medical assistace are hadled by CEGA Group Services Limited. Type of isurace ad period of cover The LV= travel policy is oly available to people livig i Eglad, Wales, Scotlad, Norther Irelad, Isle of Ma ad the Chael Islads. The policy you have chose (Essetial or Premier) ad whether it is a sigle trip policy or aual multi-trip policy will be show o your schedule. Your schedule will also show the period you are covered for, ay optioal covers you ve chose, ad ay special terms that apply to your policy. A reewal otice will be set three weeks before the cover eds o aual multi-trip policies. Aual multi-trip isurace: the maximum trip legth covered o the Essetial policy is 31 days ad the maximum trip legth covered o the Premier policy is 90 days. Sigle trip isurace: for customers uder 65 years of age the maximum trip legth is 366 days. For customers aged 65 years or over the maximum trip legth that ca be covered is 90 days. If you have chose cover for witer sports the maximum umber of days covered durig the year o a aual multi-trip policy is 17 days o the Essetial policy ad 31 days o the Premier policy. Thigs you kow about before you take out isurace or book a trip This policy does ot cover ay evet or situatio you kow about before you took out the policy or before you booked a trip, excursio or activity, uless you ve told us about it ad we ve agreed to cover it ad this is show o your schedule. This icludes: medical coditios of relatives or travellig compaios if you re aware their coditio may result i you havig to cacel or cut short your holiday for istace because they have a coditio that is ustable or likely to deteriorate evets that have bee aouced i the media, such as strikes if, whe you take out a policy, you re havig or waitig to have ay medical ivestigatios or tests, or the results of ay ivestigatios or tests KEY FACTS OF LV= TRAVEL INSURANCE 1

2 Importat health iformatio ad exclusios There is o cover uder this policy for ay pre-existig medical coditios or aythig that is i ay way related to pre-existig medical coditios uless we ve bee told about them all ad agreed to cover them ad this is show o your schedule. It is very importat that you read ad uderstad our defiitio of a pre-existig medical coditio ad the health declaratios ad health exclusios sectio of the policy booklet. We defie the followig as pre-existig medical coditios. If at ay poit i the life of ayoe to be isured they ve suffered from: a heart coditio a breathig coditio such as asthma a circulatory coditio such as strokes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes a gastroitestial or digestive tract problem a boe or joit coditio ay form or type of cacer If i the last 12 moths ayoe to be isured has had, or bee recommeded to have, ay: medical ivestigatio or tests for ay coditios or symptoms that relate to a diagosed coditio treatmet or surgery for ay coditios or symptoms that relate to a diagosed coditio prescribed medicatio for ay coditios or symptoms that relate to a diagosed coditio If the medical health of ayoe isured o the policy, or travellig with you, chages i ay way, you must tell us at the reewal of your policy; this is importat as we may require a additioal premium to be paid, apply special terms or may ot be able to cotiue coverig pre-existig coditios. You do t eed to tell us about ay chages to the health of ayoe isured o the policy durig the policy period but everyoe must be fit to travel. If at the time of bookig a trip, someoe travellig is havig or waitig to have ivestigatios or tests, there will be o cover to cacel or cut short the trip because a follow up appoitmet or surgery is scheduled durig it. There is also o cover for claims relatig to the health of someoe ot isured o the policy (such as a relative or travellig compaio or someoe you re goig to stay with) if, at the time you take out or reew a policy, or before you book a trip, they have a medical coditio that is ustable or likely to deteriorate or are havig ivestigatios or tests. 2 KEY FACTS OF LV= TRAVEL INSURANCE

3 Sigificat restrictios or coditios that apply to the whole policy Pre-existig medical coditios that exist whe you take the policy out (or at reewal) are ot covered uless we ve bee told about them ad these are show as covered o your schedule. Trips i Eglad, Wales, Scotlad, Norther Irelad, Isle of Ma ad the Chael Islads are oly covered if you have pre-booked accommodatio, are more tha 25 miles from your home or your jourey ivolves a sea crossig. You must take care to protect yourself ad your property ad act as if you are ot isured. This icludes keepig valuables with you ad usig public medical facilities wheever these are available. The policy does ot cover ay trip which has already begu before your cover start date. If your policy reews durig your trip, this restrictio will ot apply. The policy does ot cover trips booked or travel to a destiatio outside the area of cover as show o your schedule. The policy does ot cover travel to areas where the Foreig ad Commowealth Office (FCO) has advised agaist all travel or all but essetial travel uless we ve agreed to cover your trip as beig essetial ad this is show o your schedule. You must cotact us as soo as possible with full details of aythig that may result i a claim. You must provide us with evidece for all claims ad give us all the iformatio we ask for. If there is a cost for obtaiig ay iformatio, such as a medical history, this will be at your ow expese. You must accept our decisios about the most suitable, practical ad reasoable solutios to ay situatio, icludig directig you to a specific hospital or medical facility ad sedig you home at ay time if you are take ill or ijured. If ay loss, damage or liability is covered by this isurace ad is also covered by ay other isurace, we ll oly pay our share. We ll oly exted the period of isurace beyod the cover ed date show o your policy schedule o a sigle trip policy if there has bee a chage i circumstaces beyod your cotrol. We wo t exted the period of isurace o a aual multi-trip policy beyod the cover ed date. We wo t cover aythig related to maual work or work ivolvig machiery. We wo t cover aythig that happes if you take part i a activity uless it is listed as covered i the documet of isurace for the policy level you have or it is stated as beig covered o your schedule. This does ot apply to sectio A. We wo t cover ay claim uder sectios B, C, D, E or F that result from you takig part i a witer sports activity, uless you have chose cover for witer sports ad it s show as covered o your schedule. We wo t cover ay claim that results because you or a travellig compaio has druk eough alcohol to result i your or their judgemet beig seriously affected. We wo t provide ay cover because you or a travellig compaio are uder the ifluece of drugs or as a direct or idirect effect of you usig alcohol, drugs or solvets. KEY FACTS OF LV= TRAVEL INSURANCE 3

4 We wo t provide ay cover for ay form of racig, rallies, motorsport competitios or track days o a scooter, moped or motorcycle. We wo t provide ay cover if travellig as a rider or passeger o a scooter, moped or motorcycle that s 125cc or uder, uless a crash helmet is wor. If the scooter, moped or motorcycle is over 125cc, cover Is oly provided if a crash helmet ad appropriate protective clothig Is wor. The rider must also be licesed to use such a vehicle i the UK. We wo t provide ay cover if the scooter, moped or motorcycle is beig used outside of the Uited Kigdom ad the rider is t a residet of the Uited Kigdom ad does t have a licece for the coutry you re i. We wo t cover you for ay claim caused or related to war, civil war, rebellio, revolutio or terrorism. 14 Your rights to cacel your isurace For sigle trip policies where the cover start date to the cover ed date is 28 days or less No refud of premium will be give For policies that have a cover period of more tha 28 days You have up to 14 days to cacel your policy after you receive your documets If the cover does t meet your eeds, you ca cacel your isurace by tellig us. We ll the refud ay moey you ve paid withi 30 days of you tellig us you d like to cacel. If we ve already paid a claim this must be repaid by you withi 30 days before we ll refud your premium. More tha 14 days after you receive your documets After the iitial 14 day period we wo t refud ay premium eve if you ve ot travelled or made a claim. Cacellatio at reewal We ll sed you a reewal ivitatio three weeks before your reewal date. This will show your reewal premium ad ay chages to your cover. If you reew but the decide to cacel, provided you tell us before your reewal date, we ll refud what you ve paid i full. If you cacel after your reewal date has passed you will be charged i lie with the cacellatio rules detailed above. We reserve the right ot to ivite reewal of your policy. If this is the case we ll write to you three weeks before the policy ed date. Our cacellatio otice will cofirm the reaso for cacellatio ad be posted ad / or ed to you. How to report a claim If you thik you may have to cacel or cut short a trip, you should call the 24 hour assistace lie. Similarly, you should call this umber if you have a accidet or become ill while you re away ad eed to go ito hospital or your medical expeses are likely to be more tha 500. The 24 hour assistace helplie is For other claims, or for medical expeses of less tha 500, you should call us whe you retur home o If you eed to make a claim because the ed provider of your trasport, accommodatio or excursio has become isolvet (Sectio L), you should advise Iteratioal Passeger Protectio Limited (IPP) who provide this cover as soo as possible. If we ca t meet our liabilities, you may be able to claim from the Fiacial Services Compesatio Scheme (FSCS).
