Park staff conducted an assessment at Palmer Park and Murray Park and concluded that approximately thirty-eight (38) lamps require replacement. Proper lighting will help ensure a safer and quality playing environment for the public. Competitive proposals were sought from three (3) different sources of supply; Electrical Contracting Services was the lowest and most responsive vendor. A contingency in the amount of $2,000 will be included over the proposal amount to address for unknown factors that may arise s,uch as new wiring, additional ballast, fuses and/or lamps. VENDORS & AMOUNT: Please find below a breakdown of all proposals: VENDORS AMOUNT ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING SERVICES $18,856./ DAVCO ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS CORP. $21,043 CANSECO ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, INC. $57,929 AMOUNT: ACCOUNT: ATTACHMENTS: Proposal amount is not to exceed 18,856 with a contingency amount of 2,000 for a total amount not to exceed 20,856. The total expenditure in the amount of $20,856 shall be charged to the Citywide Parks Improvement, account number , which has a balance of $845,409 before this request was made. The City Manager is authorized to pay Electrical Contracting Services for an amount not to exceed $18,856 for maintenance and repair services for sport field lighting at Murray Park and Palmer Park. The City Manager is authorized to expend an additional $2,000 over the proposal amount of $18,856 for unknown factors. Section 2. The total expenditure in the amount of $20,856 shall be charged to the Citywide Parks Improvement, account number , which has a balance of $845,409 before this request was made. Section 3. Severability. If any section clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution. 34 Section 4.
