AMERIND System Innovation & Evolution An informative session that will highlight changes and additions that have occurred to the insurance products that AMERIND offers. There will be review of AMERIND claim history and how those are used to determine rating and premium that is charged. We will cover the IT automation efforts that are currently in process and the impact it has on the membership. Lastly, we will discuss what is ahead for AMERIND. Electrical Fire Safety and Prevention Electricity has become a daily necessity. It provides energy for our homes, appliances, air conditioners, and personal entertainment devices. Yet, it is easy to forget the raw power of electricity and how quickly it can turn from helpful to harmful. This discussion will focus on electrical fire safety and prevention. Claims Workflow In this session the claims department will review the most important steps in the claim process, from what is the best way to report a claim? to once your claim has been setup and what are next important steps to secure a

2 successfully resolution. If you are a new user and responsible for reporting claims to AMERIND this is a must training for you. Or a Director or support staff sometimes we just need to have a better understanding from start to finish about the claim process from setup to settlement this would be a great refresher training to attend. 1:00 pm 2:00pm Stupid Things Employees Do Performance Descriptions Deconstructed Can you reduce the risk of poor employee performance? This session will demonstrate how a well written Job Description can be used to improve and sustain the desired level of employee performance. The PD is tied to many factors: Recruitment; Interviewing; Selection; Onboarding; Training; Development and Evaluation. Is Community Shield for You? In this session, we will explore AMERIND s Community Shield (CS) program, the history and what you can expect currently. We ll discuss how this program can benefit your tribal members and your housing authority. Finally, we will also explore the requirements to start a CS program and to the requirements to become a CS administrator. Worker s Comp This session will focus on workers' compensation basics, including the what, when and how to report a claim and why accident investigation is important. Claims Tool Symbility Software This training is geared for those individuals responsible for reporting claim information to claims department when a loss occurs. Using our latest software Symbility software we will be demonstrating our User Account access to where you can upload and update claim information with the click of a mouse making this transfer of information a breeze. If you are interested in making your job a lot easier you don t want to miss this training session. 2:15 pm 3:15pm Setting up a Fleet Management Program Understanding Your Policy In this session come learn more about your new ISO policy with Director of Claims Alan Romero and Underwriting Director Jake Derden. We will compare 2015 policy to your new 2016 policy walking you through difference property coverages available. Finally, we will also review underwriting information such as property schedule(s), limits and endorsements. This is a great fundamental training to learn more about your new ISO policy and how your properties are evaluated by our underwriting department.

3 3:30 pm 4:30pm E & O Housing Admin AMERIND Risk s Community Shield program can help your tribal member s obtain homeowners insurance. As an administrator of a community shield plan you are responsible for servicing your tribal member s policy. However, mistakes can happen, this session reviews how you can protect yourself from any errors & omissions that may occur. What AMERIND Offers Injury Prevention A safe working environment where injuries are eliminated relies on a partnered relationship between management and workers. Whether you are victimized by internal or external acts of crime, your tribal administration and enterprise managers have to assume the responsibility for money, data, or properties that can be stolen. But Indian Country suffers from a severe Digital Divide, whether it be a lack of phone service, internet, wireless, or fiber optics infrastructures. Tribal Nations and Tribal families desperately need better technologies in their homes, and better technology is essential to the future of Tribal youth. Broadband also increases the actual value of Tribal housing units, by providing managers the ability to remotely manage smart grid utilities and monitor home heating, fire alarm, and security systems. This session will provide an overview of a new business line AMERIND Critical Infrastructure (ACI) which is a team of senior experts, former FCC senior managers, and top expert managers. ACI will provide professional management services to Tribal Nations to apply for, access, and manage all aspects of the key federal subsidy programs to develop and deploy robust broadband networks on Tribal lands. Importantly, ACI will also provide Tribal Nations with social impact investing and access to capital at low rates so Tribes can afford necessary federal funding matching requirements.
