2 2015 CAIA FALL MEETING We invite CAIA members, irrigation industry representatives and other interested parties to join us for the 2015 Fall Meeting of the California Agricultural Irrigation Association, September 16-18, in Sacramento, California. The Fall Meeting provides a forum to address new technology, government programs, state and federal legislation and other issues of interest and concern to the agricultural irrigation industry. Located at 300 J Street, the hotel is just a few blocks from the State Capitol, and across the street from Old Sacramento, an historic landmark district on the Sacramento River. A block of rooms has been reserved for CAIA at the special rate of 119 per night plus taxes. The special rate is available for 2 days before and after the meeting dates. THE DEADLINE FOR THE SPECIAL RATE IS AUGUST 16th. Reservations after August 16th are subject to availability and may be at a higher rate. Keynote Speaker Karen Ross, Secretary, California Department of Food and Agriculture Keynote Speaker Louie Brown, Kahn Soares & Conway: Water Rights Noon 4:30pm Folsom Dam Construction Project and Power Plant Tour Representatives from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will host a tour of the Folsom Dam facilities, including the Power Plant and the 900 million auxiliary spillway project. The spillway project, a collaborative effort between federal, state and local entities, includes a six-gated control structure and 2100 foot spillway. SIGN UP EARLY! 6:00pm 9:00pm CAIA Cocktail Reception & Banquet FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 8:00am Shotgun CAIA Golf Tournament at Teal Bend Golf Club Located adjacent to the Sacramento River and designed by Sacramento native and architect Brad Bell, Teal Bens Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course that boasts 250 acres of wetlands, native trees, lush fairways and rolling green hills. The course is located on Garden Highway, approximately 15 minutes from the convention hotel. REGISTRATION BEGINS AT 7AM FOR AN 8AM SHOTGUN START. Golfers are on their own for transportation. Lunch is included.
