He reviewed minutes of the last meeting held on 1 st January Union wise FIP IV progress report was discussed in detail and its status as on 15 th February 2011 is enclosed at Annexure 1. It was informed by members that under FIP IV programme for the year 2011, 66,791 animals have been registered under FIP IV. 56,453 animals have been treated under first fertility camps (962), 46,211 animals have been treated under second fertility camps (887), 27,733 animals have been treated under third fertility camps (517) and 222 animals have been treated under fourth fertility camps (12). Members informed regarding the status of FIP MCM at Union level is as follows:- Kaira Mehsana S kantha FIP progress is discussed during ARDA Governing council meeting. The status of the PEP and member unionwise PEP status is available on PEP activities yet not initiated in Kaira and Panchmahal Milk Unions. 6 Productivity Enhancement Programme and its status 7 FIP inauguration function 8 Presentation by members on Isreal training For the FIP IV year Kaira, Sabarkantha, Surat, Panchmahal, Ahmedabad, Baroda and Valsad MU have done FIP inauguration function. It was informed to the members that during the last FIP monthly review meeting it was decided to arrange joint meeting of the following members and accordingly, a meeting was arranged on on 17 th January 2011 at Kaira Milk Union to discuss and design project proposals for implementation in milk unions of Gujarat based on their learning at Isreal. 1. Member Unions 9 Breeding policy member unions GCMMF for of Project report has been prepared by Dr. S B Patel, Kaira Milk Union and Dr. Pradip Patel, Surat Milk Union. Dr. S T Desai explained the members regarding existing situation of milk procurement and future demand of milk and milk products. It was also discussed by members that there is a need to increase the exotic blood level % in current breed of animals to improve productivity. Members who visited Isreal suggested for calf rearing and Total Mixed Ration project proposals to be implemented for member unions of GCMMF. After elaborate discussion, it was decided to form a sub committee to design breeding policy for Member Unions of GCMMF and design calf rearing and Total Mixed Ration project.

Time limit 10 FIP V Budget and PEP II Budget 11 Fund Utilization report of FIP III activities 12 Presentation on Impact analysis of FIP activities 13 Other discussion FIP V and PEP II budget format were discussed and it was informed to members to submit the budget for FIP V and PEP II to GCMMF It was informed to the members that GCMMF has received Fund Utilization Report from Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Ahmedabad and Rajkot Milk Unions. Rest of the unions are requested to submit their claim at the earlist. Dr. Ravikant Singh made presentation on impact analysis of FIP I and FIP II activities. He studied the project and carried out its impact analysis during his one year training under CPDM II at IRMA. The presentation was appreciated by members. 1. It was informed to the members that we have received data for National Dairy Plan from Kaira, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Banaskantha, Surat, Valsad, Ahmedabad and Rajkot Milk Union only. Member Unions are requested to submit the data in prescribed format only as per annexure Milk Unions are requested to check and correct data of FIP I and FIP II on website. 3. It was informed to the members that as GCMMF is allocating ear tag numbers to tag suppliers, Milk Unions should not give any tag numbers to suppliers to avoid duplication of ear tag problem. 4. New tag design for tagging the animals were finalized. As per the final design six number would be printed in each raw alongwith the Barcode in the middle and Amul would be printed in the top row.
