5 Description First day of FY 16 Last day to record and post Supervisor s Report. The Township Clerk shall record it and post it 2 days before the annual meeting. 60 ILCS 1/70-15 The annual mtg shall be held on the second Tuesday of April after 6:00 p.m. 60 ILCS 1/30-5 The township board must, at least 30 days before the public hearing, prepare or cause to be prepared a tentative budget and appropriation ordinance and file the ordinance with the township clerk. 60 ILCS 1/80 60) Public hearing on tentative budget. Adoption of the budget following the public hearing. Last day to adopt appropriations and budget ordinance The Township is required to have the accounts and records of the Township thoroughly audited by a certified public account within 6 months after the close of each fiscal year. 60 ILCS 1/80-20 Last day to file audit with state comptroller and county clerk. 60 ILCS 1/80-20 Last day file Annual Treasurer s Report. 30 ILCS 15/1 Discussion of 5 year budget projections Discussion of property tax levy Consideration of Town, General Assistance and CMHB Levies. 6 Description Public hearing on property tax levy. Adoption of the levy following the public hearing. All taxing districts shall annually certify to the County Clerk, on or before the last Tuesday in December, the amounts to be levied. 35 ILCS 200/18-15, 60 ILCS 1/75-20 Preliminary budget discussions - Board to approve general parameters for FY 18 budget. Presentation of tentative General Government budgets. Presentation of tentative General Assistance budget. Approval of audit contract. Presentation of tentative Youth Services budget. Presentation of tentative Senior Services budget. Within 30 days of the annual Township meeting, the Supervisor shall account for all moneys received and disbursed. 60 ILCS 1/70-30 First day to prepare and file with the Township Clerk Supervisor's Report. 60 ILCS 1/ The statement shall be posted 2 days before the meeting. Adoption of tentative budget. At least 30 days before the public hearing a tentative budget and appropriation ordinance shall be filed with the Township Clerk. The public hearing must be held on or before the last day of the first quarter of the fiscal year.
