Specifically, the responsibilities included selecting and leading a global health care team comprised of the practice leaders of the 10 largest Grant Thornton affiliate firms around the world, developing and executing a strategic plan for the growth of the global practice, including coordinating on account planning for a select number of global key accounts, designing and implementing training programs for the global health care professionals, coordinating with other industry programs within the firm on cross-industry go-to-market issues, and monitoring and growing revenues from the global health care client base. As the national managing partner for the health care practice, Anne was responsible for overseeing the service offerings to Grant Thornton s health care clients around the country, such as audit (internal and external), tax, valuation, reimbursement, internal controls consulting, IT, litigation support, M&A, compensation consulting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and other health care corporate compliance.

2 Page 2 of 6 Anne was also a tax partner and, as such, she has assisted clients in all aspects of tax consulting, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, physician contracting, executive compensation, risk assessments, due diligence, regulatory issues, and IRS matters. She has provided litigation support on health care related matters and has testified as an expert witness on many occasions. Anne has participated on the Private Equity Operating Committee of the firm, a group of 10 partners focusing on services to private equity and venture capital firms. Anne has also participated in the national steering committee for Women at Grant Thornton, a committee dedicated to the professional growth, mentoring, and advancement of women within the firm. Anne was also is very involved in the recruiting efforts of the firm and participates in mentoring and other activities with students from the University of North Carolina, the University of Virginia, and The College of William and Mary. Served as lead client service tax partner on approximately 10 of the largest health care clients in the Southeast Region. May 2002 June 2004 Deloitte and Touche LLP Charlotte, NC Tax Partner Responsible for overseeing the delivery of professional services to a myriad of health care clients, including multi-entity health systems, other providers, academic medical centers, pharmaceutical companies, payers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield organizations, medical device and supply companies, large medical practices, and medical research organizations. Served clients primarily in North Carolina, South Carolina, Southwest Virginia and Tennessee. Responsible for all aspects of tax professional service delivery, including working closely with the audit professionals in preparing the tax provision to be used in the audited financial statements and working with consulting professionals on ERP implementations, revenue cycle process improvement projects and hospital turnaround situations. Consulted on tax related matters such as valuations of tax-exempt status, community benefits analyses, accounting methods reviews, tax risk management, and other aspects of tax planning. Assisted clients with the tax issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, physician practice purchases and divestitures, physician/hospital arrangements, formation and restructuring of health care companies, corporate compliance programs, compensation programs, unrelated business income, and IRS exam planning and representation. Performed litigation support services on health care tax related matters and testified as an expert witness on many occasions.

Served as lead client service partner on approximately 5 of the largest health care clients in the Southeast Region. The practice experienced growth of approximately 20% per year to a practice of approximately $12 million in revenue Arthur Andersen, LLP Louisville, KY Senior Manager, National Health Care Tax Practice Worked with the Leader of the National Health Care tax practice, assisting offices around the country with health care tax matters. Responsible for coordinating all health care tax training for the firm, as well as communication with the practice offices on technical matters and legislative updates. Responsible for creating and maintaining business plan for the practice, including monitoring the budget. Assisted with several firm publications, taught many of the national training courses for health care and other tax topics, and spoke frequently to outside groups on health care topics.
