2 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Office of Ferry County Public Works 350 East Delaware # 8 Republic, WA Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Ferry County, Washington at the office of the Board of County Commissioners at 290 East Tessie Ave. in Republic, Washington until 2:30 P.M. on May 22, 2012, after which time bids will be opened and publicly read for the improvement project described below: Bridge Creek 10 CRP#101 HMA Paving, Cement Treated Base, and Guardrail All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Bidder is solely responsible for the timely receipt of his/her bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the County. Maps, plans and specifications may be obtained from this office upon payment of the amount of $30.00, which is non-refundable. Informational copies of maps, plans and specifications are on file for inspection at the Ferry County Public Works Office in Republic, Washington. The following is applicable to federal aid projects. The County in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C.2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises (as defined at 49 CFR Part 23) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award. TO REPORT VIOLATIONS To report bid rigging activities call: The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) operates the above toll-free hotline Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., eastern time. Anyone with knowledge of possible bid rigging, bidder collusion, or other fraudulent activities should use the hotline to report such activities. This hotline is part of USDOT s continuing effort to identify and investigate highway construction fraud and abuse and is operated under the direction of the USDOT Inspector General.
