3 THE SASKATCHEWAN THE SASKATCHEWAN GAZETTE, NOVEMBER GAZETTE, 13, 2015 JANUARY 18, THE SASKATCHEWAN GAZETTE, NOVEMBER 13, 2015 REVISED REGULATIONS OF SASKATCHEWAN 1075 SASKATCHEWAN REGULATIONS 98/2015 The Traffic Safety Act Section 287 Order in Council 538/2015, dated November 3, 2015 (Filed November 4, 2015) Title 1 These regulations may be cited as The Commercial Vehicle and Drivers (Record- Keeping) Amendment Regulations, R.R.S. c.h-3.1 Reg 22, section 2 amended 2 Clause 2(d) of The Commercial Vehicle and Drivers (Record-Keeping) Regulations is repealed and the following substituted: (d) commercial vehicle means any of the following vehicles: (i) a vehicle that: (A) is registered in Class A, C or D or that would be registered in Class A, C or D if that vehicle was registered in Saskatchewan; and (B) has a registered gross vehicle weight of kilograms or greater; (ii) a vehicle that: (A) is registered in Class LV or that would be registered in Class LV if that vehicle was registered in Saskatchewan; (B) is being used for a commercial use and is not a farm vehicle; and (C) has a registered gross vehicle weight of: (I) kilograms or greater; or (II) if operated outside Saskatchewan, kilograms or greater; (iii) a vehicle that: (A) is registered in Class PB, PC or PS or that would be registered in Class PB, PC or PS if that vehicle was registered in Saskatchewan; and (B) has a seating capacity, according to the manufacturer of that vehicle, of more than 10 persons, including the driver; but does not include an emergency vehicle as defined in The Vehicle Equipment Regulations, 1987 or a funeral vehicle. Coming into force 3 These regulations come into force on the day on which they are filed with the Registrar of Regulations.
4 1076 THE SASKATCHEWAN GAZETTE, NOVEMBER 13, 2015 SASKATCHEWAN REGULATIONS 99/2015 The Traffic Safety Act Section 287 Order in Council 539/2015, dated November 3, 2015 (Filed November 4, 2015) Title 1 These regulations may be cited as The Registration Exemption and Reciprocity (Jurisdictions) Amendment Regulations, R.R.S. c.t-18.1 Reg 13 amended 2 The Registration Exemption and Reciprocity Regulations, 2014 are amended in the manner set forth in these regulations. Section 2 amended 3 Clause 2(2)(d) is amended by striking out vehicle and substituting motor vehicle. New section 3 4 Section 3 is repealed and the following substituted: Reciprocity with other jurisdictions 3(1) The minister may enter into agreements with any jurisdiction whereby: (a) persons ordinarily resident in Saskatchewan are granted certain privileges in that jurisdiction in connection with the use of a vehicle; and (b) persons ordinarily resident in that jurisdiction are granted similar privileges in Saskatchewan. (2) If the minister has entered into a reciprocal agreement with a jurisdiction pursuant to subsection (1), a person mentioned in clause (1)(b) may register a commercial vehicle or public service vehicle that is registered in that jurisdiction, or obtain a registration permit to operate that vehicle, in Saskatchewan on payment of the fees set out in, and subject to the terms of, the agreement if that person: (a) is ordinarily resident in that jurisdiction; and (b) is the owner of the commercial vehicle or the public service vehicle. (3) If a person who is eligible pursuant to subsection (2) registers that person s commercial vehicle or public service vehicle pursuant to a reciprocal agreement, the vehicle: (a) is to be registered subject only to the terms of the agreement between the minister and the jurisdiction; and (b) is exempted from the provisions of subsection 57(1) of the Act. Section 5 amended 5 Section 5 is amended by striking out vehicle that is registered in Manitoba and substituting commercial vehicle or public service vehicle that is registered in Manitoba.
5 THE SASKATCHEWAN GAZETTE, NOVEMBER 13, Section 8 repealed 6 Section 8 is repealed. New sections 9 to 12 7 Sections 9 to 12 are repealed and the following substituted: CAVR 9 If a province is a signatory to the CAVR and extends the privileges set out in that agreement to persons ordinarily resident in Saskatchewan, a person ordinarily resident in that province is exempted from the provisions of subsection 57(1) of the Act if the person: (a) registers that person s vehicle pursuant to the CAVR; and (b) observes the terms and conditions of the CAVR. IRP 10 If a jurisdiction is a signatory to an agreement pursuant to the IRP and extends the privileges set out in that agreement to persons ordinarily resident in Saskatchewan, a person who is ordinarily resident in that jurisdiction is exempted from the provisions of subsection 57(1) of the Act if the person: (a) registers that person s vehicle pursuant to the IRP; (b) observes the terms and conditions of the IRP agreed to by Saskatchewan and that person s jurisdiction; and (c) pays a prorated fee calculated in accordance with the IRP. Trailer, semi-trailer exemption 11 If a person is ordinarily resident in another jurisdiction and is the owner of a trailer or semi-trailer that has been registered in that jurisdiction, that person is exempted from the provisions of subsection 57(1) of the Act. General exemption 12 If a person operates in Saskatchewan a commercial or public service vehicle that is registered in another jurisdiction and that is not being used for the transportation of passengers, goods or permanently mounted equipment, that person is exempted from the provisions of subsection 57(1) of the Act. Coming into force 8 These regulations come into force on the day on which they are filed with the Registrar of Regulations.

R.R.S. c.w-13.2 Reg 4, Appendix amended 2 The Wildlife Habitat and Ecological Lands Designation Regulations are amended in the Appendix: (a) by repealing item 294 and substituting the following: 294 All those lands in Township 40, in Range 10, west of the Second Meridian, described as follows: (a) the west half and north-east quarter of Section 2; (b) that portion of the south-west quarter of Section 3 covered by the waters of Englund Lake; (c) the north-west quarter of Section 7; (d) the south half and north-east quarter of Section 11; (e) the north-west quarter of Section 29 ; (b) by repealing item 295 and substituting the following: 295 All those lands in Township 41, in Range 10, west of the Second Meridian, that are Crown owned and described as follows: (a) the north half of Section 1; (b) the north-east quarter of Section 2 ; (c) by repealing item 432 and substituting the following: 432 All those lands in Township 5, in Range 17, west of the Second Meridian, described as follows: (a) the west half of Section 5; (b) the south half and north-east quarter of Section 8; (c) the north-west quarter of Section 10; (d) the south-east quarter of Section 18 ;
