2 Capsules Compliance New Rules introduced in the Companies Act, 2013 MCA has introduced a new sub-sec on (9) in sec on 12 of the companies act, 2013 wherein it gives powers to the Registrar to visit any registered office of a company where it believes that there is no business going on in that premises, and in case there is default, i.e. he finds that there is actually no business or opera ons going on in that premises, he can take ac on for striking off the name of the company from the records of MCA. Therefore, compliance for companies to show that business or opera ons are taking place in their registered offices - name plate of the company on the outside of the regd office, copy of cer ficate of incorpora on and other statutory licenses to be displayed prominently on the walls of the R/O, keeping books of accounts, statutory registers, original documents, licences, share cer ficates, common seal, invoice books, bank documents (passbook, cheque book etc.) etc. to be kept at the R/O. All official documents like le er heads should carry the name, CIN, registered office address, GST no., telephone no., id, website (if any). Where any registered office does not carry any business or opera ons then request to shi the registered office itself to a new address, in the MCA records, where business or opera ons are taking place. Railways This Railway Sta on Will Now Have Food Vending Machines! Railway passengers at the Mumbai Central sta on can now enjoy freshly baked pizza and other food items from automa c food vending machines at the Gen NX food-vending court. These food vending machines will offer thin-crust pizzas, french fries, popcorn, fresh fruit juice, ice cream and much more. In collabora on with Bueno Insta Pizza Ltd. (YESS PIZZA) and Owl Tech Private Ltd. (FRSHLY), IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corpora on) has set up food vending machines o ff e r i n g f r e s h f o o d t o passengers. An IRCTC official said, The machines will work on the principle of 3Fs: fresh, fast and fun. Passengers can relish fast food items and various cuisines through the vending machines. Travellers will also get pre-packaged meals from various popular brands via an automated machine. These meals will have a shelf life of 6-8 hours. Support Loan in 59 Minutes Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 2 announced that MSMEs can get loans up to Rs 1 crore in 59 minutes through a dedicated portal (psbloansin59minutes.com), giving a boost to the sector that employs the most Indians a er agriculture. The government will run an outreach programme, which includes changes in companies law, for 100 days to take the scheme to the en re country to address issue of access of credit, high cost of credit, mely payments, access to market and ease of processes and compliancefirms registered for GST can also avail a 2% interest subven on, or rebate, on incremental loan of up to Rs 1 crore, he said. Public sector companies will now source at least a quarter of their requirement from MSMEs against 20% earlier and, within that, 3% would have to be done from units run by women. All central public-sector enterprises will have to join the government's e-marketplace (GeM) to facilitate online procurement of common use goods and services by various government departments and organisa on.

3 RBI board meet may find common ground on MSME The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the government are prone to in finding common floor on the issue of reduc on to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). With the start of Ro-Ro ferry service, the travel me between Ghogha and Hazira will reduce from 10 hours to 3.15 hours. The road distance from Surat to Bhavnagar is 360 kilometres, whereas the sea route distance is 67 nau cal miles only. Tex le and apparel exports stood at 20,353 crore during October 2018 as compared to 14,779 crore during the same month of the last year, showing an impressive growth of 38 per cent.apparel exports grew by a whopping 54 per cent during the month to 8,327 crore from 5,402 crore in October 2017, CITI said ci ng data from DGCI&S Diamond Surat Diamond Bourse Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB), the world's largest single complex spread over an area of 66 lakh square feet, will be ready by 2020.The gigan c structure, which will be the home to India's second diamond trading centre, costs nearly Rs 2,400 crore. The centre includes 11 iconic towers of 11-storey height, housing more than 4,500 diamond offices, the SDB website says. The area, proposed to be a hub for all diamond trades, is expected to have 10,000 offices for na onal and interna onal traders. It is expected to create more than 1.5 lakh jobs. The construc on work for the complex began in October 2017.

Cer fica on is based on a set of 14 indicators comprising of energy and transporta on efficiency, water preserva on, waste management, health and wellness, quality of life and other important elements of a city. The program is based on an online pla orm, called Arc which evaluates a city based on data from more than 250 ci es across the globe. In the month of June 2018, Surat got cer fied through the same pla orm and was successful in achieving Pla num cer fica on with 87 points out of 100.
