ORDINANCE MEASURES For major employers or schools who do not meet a reduction goal in the second year of the program, the plan shall contain any two of the following measures, and shall contain any four of the following measures when a reduction goal is not met in any year thereafter. Maricopa County Ordinance P-7, Section 7, Paragraph A) 3) a) 5
ORDINANCE MEASURES 1. Prize drawings for alternative mode users 2. Incentives for new alternative mode users and those who move closer to the worksite 3. Guaranteed ride home for alternative mode users 4. Preferential parking for carpools / vanpools 5. Vanpool subsidy of at least 50% 6. Bus or other alternative mode subsidy at least 50% 7. On-site daycare 8. Showers and lockers 9. A pay for parking program 10.A telecommuting program that seeks to achieve a target reduction (10%) 11.Compressed work weeks that seeks to achieve a target reduction (10%) Which does your plan include?
ANALYZING SURVEY RESULTS Check your Response Rate < 60% may = penalty SOV rate tells percentage of trips/miles being driven alone Current Mode Splits tells what modes your employees are using now
ANALYZING SURVEY RESULTS Average Commute Distance and Time can appeal to desire to save Changing Your Commute Mode tells what they might do instead of driving alone Using an Alternate Mode tells what incentives will encourage your employees
YOUR EXISTING PLAN Start with last year s plan for consistency If you want to make changes to last year s plans, you can! Talk with supervisor, coworkers Contact your VM Business Services Rep for advice Check survey results
COMPLETING THE PLAN E-format available on the VM website. Easy to save and edit! Fax completed plan to Maricopa County If you have more than one site, complete the multi-site form in the TC Library or mailed with your survey results.
COMPLETING THE PLAN Organization Information gives the County a snapshot of your company If you have attended a Valley Metro workshop training on the TRP, select the Yes box on the form
COMPLETING THE PLAN Enter the individual prize value for each drawing and the total annual value FOR ALL SITES COMBINED More frequent drawings encourage participation best Most common prize value is $25
Section 2 similar to other drawings, but with differences in application New AMU/Move Closer can be a prize drawing or a gimme Best AMU sometimes used if no New AMUs sign up COMPLETING THE PLAN
COMPLETING THE PLAN Guaranteed Ride Home: The most common TRP incentive Know your policies & procedures before they re needed Budgeted amount need not be spent be sure to promote! How is your GRH provided?
Section 4 Nonordinance measure activities COMPLETING THE PLAN TCA Meeting/Webinar participation: Attend once a quarter. Webinars count! Very strong Bike/ Rideshare month or ShareTheRide promos can substitute for ordinance measures
Enter number of carpool or vanpool parking spaces at main (TC) site Annual budget is for hard costs Select one tracking option Verify space counts before submitting COMPLETING THE PLAN
Check the mode(s) subsidized Under Subsidy enter percentage or amount Select Payment frequency (usually monthly ) COMPLETING THE PLAN Estimate your Annual Budget based on existing users plus growth Transit subsidies: Check the box on how provided
COMPLETING THE PLAN In Section 7 explain survey incentives, High Pollution Advisory programs, or other TRP activities Can explain special prize or subsidy criteria Budget is for this section only NOT the whole program
COMPLETING THE PLAN Enter physical amenities for your main (TC) worksite. County staff will need to see these amenities in clean & working order during the monitoring review Use Multi-sites supplement page to track amenities at other sites
COMPLETING THE PLAN Indicate number of employees at main (TC) worksite who work from home 2+ days per month Indicate number of employees at main (TC) worksite who work compressed weeks Ten percent or more participation = Ordinance measure Do you have alternate schedules? 20
COMPLETING THE PLAN Choose two forms of communication to promote your incentives New hires must be addressed ShareTheRide manages prize drawings and communicates your incentives 24/7
COMPLETING THE PLAN draft to your Business Services Rep for advice & review TC and Highest Ranking Local Official sign and date the form before submitting to County
ADDITIONAL SITES Check boxes to indicate which incentives are offered at which sites If all sites will mirror main site use check box at bottom Provided pre-filled with site names with survey results 23
