10 Part 4: Market News Last week Tehran Stock Exchange index fell 0.5 percent. Currently, despite the negative volume and value of transactions, the volume and value of market are still relatively higher than the level of two-year period of stagnation. In this regard, the daily average volume of trades was equivalent to one billion and 600 million shares from the last quarterr of last year until now. However, the average volume of transaction was equivalent to 535 million shares during last 2 years. Accordingly, while there is selling pressure but in the opposite; there are buyers in the market that reduces the intensity of concerns. Last week, Mashad Wheel was the biggest riser, as its shares went up percent. Shahed Development was the biggest loser with its shares plummeting percent. Iran Tele-F and TaminPetro-F provided the biggest boost to the benchmark with 319 points. Iran Khodro and Gole Gohar-F came next with 84 and 63 points respectively. Last week, More than 30 participants of Islamic Capital Market (ICM) Summit visited Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) on Monday 2 May The 8th International Islamic Capital Market Course held 3 and 4 May 2016 in Tehran and hosted by Iran s Securities and Exchange Organization. The event is held annually in order to introduce Islamic Finance potentials and aspects of Iran s Capital Market. The participants were briefed about Iran s economy, capital market and some details of Tehran Stock Exchange s operations and activities. The visiting delegates include participations from China s Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Germany s Bafin and Borse Munchen, Greece s Athens Exchange Groupe and Hellenic Capital Market Commission, Nigeria s Jaiz Bank, Pakistan s PACRA and Pakistan Stock Exchange, Turkey s Capital Markets Board, UK s Olma Advisory Services, Gambia's Islamic Development Bank, India s J.Sagar Associates and Korea Exchange. 10

11 Part 5: Economic News - 16 trade delegations visit Iran in first 3 post-sanctionn months; some 16 trade delegations visited Iran in the first three months after the implementation of the nuclear deal between the Islamic Republic and the global world powers. Since the initial lifting of sanctions on January 16, senior officials including eight presidents, five prime ministers, three parliament speakers, and 14 foreign ministers from different countries have travelled to Iran. - Iran collects 90% of annual planned tax revenues; head of Iran's National Tax Administration (INTA) that the administration could collect 90 percent of its expected tax income in the past Iranian year of 1394 (which ended on March 19, 2016). The earned figure stood at 667 trillion rials ($19.3 billion) and registered a 16-percent growth, compared to the year of According to the budget bill for the current Iranian calendar year (which began on March 20, 2016) tax incomes are projected to rise by 14 percent from the last year s 880 trillion rials (about $25.4 billion) to one quadrillion rials (about $28.9 billion), Iran's Management and Planning Organization Director said in January. - S. Korea to invest $25b in Iran; Iran and South Korea signed 19 cooperation documents, pledging to increase their annual trade by three times the current volume of around $6 billion to $18 billion. they spoke about tourism, direct flights between Seoul and Tehran, and Korean investment in Iranian tourism infrastructure, including building hotels. - Iran Mercantile Exchange Weekly Trade Reaches $274mln; The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) announced that around $274mln of various commodities weighting over 621,163 tons were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week (Apr 23-28). The IME said thatt over 244,425 tons of various oil and petrochemical products, including 111,245 tons of bitumen, 35,714 tons of polymer products, 48,500 tons of VB, 24,590 tons of lube cut-oil, 16,706 tons of chemical products, 6,620 tons of sulfur, 50 tons of insulation, 3,000 11

12 tons of sulfur and 1,000 tons of slaps waxes with the total value of $86mln were traded in its domestic and exports halls during the last week. Moreover, 500 tons of sugar, 1,000 tons of wheat and 250 tons of crude vegetable oil were traded by the customers in the agricultural trading hall of the IME in the last week. - Projects to Add 960k Tons to Iran Petrochem Output; Iran will boost its petrochemical production capacity by nearly a million tons per year once its launches three major petrochemical plants in western regions. Iran has launched Lorestan Petrochemical Plant in the western province of Lorestan and will inaugurate two other plants in Kurdistan and Mahabad by the yearend, adding at least 960,000 tons to the country's annual production capacity. - Iran exporting Over 2.5 mbd Oil, Condensates; A senior energy official announced that Iran has considerably increased the daily export of its crude and gas condensates. "We are exporting over 2.5 million barrels per day of oil and gas condensates," Director of international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company Mohsen Qamsari told reporters. He said that the rise in the volume of oil exports comes as Iran has signed oil export contracts with Total of France, Hellenic Petroleum S.A. of Greece and a number of Italian oil companies. Iran said it would add up to 500,000 barrels of new oil per day to a market already flush with supplies, with deals with Italian energy companies expected in a matter of days. - 3 Trillion Rial Underwritten Offering of MBS to Be Unveiled Soon; The Iranian capital market is preparing to unveil 3 trillion rial underwritten offering of mortgage-backed securities in the upcoming days, said the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Organization, Dr. Mohammad Fetanat. The new securities are expected to affect the housing sector in a positive way, after nearly three years of recession. The SEO chief expressed hope that the 9th international exhibition for exchange, banking and insurance, which is to be held in the summer in Tehran, would be able to properly introduce Islamic financial instruments to potential investors. 12
