The railway is used as public transportation that will connect to the ports in South Sulawesi. The project is partially funded by State Budget, allocated under the Ministry of Transportation.It is estimated that around 62 km of the railway track will be done through PPP scheme. In addition to domestic waste that uses sanitary landfill systems, there is also the toxic industrial waste. Therefore, there is a development plan for that landfill to manage the industrial waste as well from harmful waste to become harmless (green industry).
