July, 2018 CHROMEBOOK CASES AND INSURANCE Every student in grades 5-8 will be provided a Lenovo N22 Chromebook laptop to use for school work. All students need to purchase an approved cover to protect the device. The covers come in many colors, shapes and sizes. Cases MUST be purchased prior to the start of school. Students who do not have a case will not be assigned a Chromebook. A cover from last year that is still in good shape should be ok. After researching covers, we feel the following will best protect the community s investment and if properly cared for will last your student several years: We can offer the case pictured above here at OCS for $ A check can be sent to the school before September 1, 2018, made out to It s 4 Education LLC. We are also offering the same low-cost insurance policy to further protect the school district s investment. Each Chromebook retails for $185.00, and since accidents do happen, no student will be issued a Chromebook without the proper insurance in place.
