17 Functional definition for the equipment covered. The standard applies to "power-operated equipment, when used in construction, that can hoist, lower, and horizontally move a suspended load." Temporary enforcement policy pending the resolution of that rulemaking process.

18 1) Compliance with 29 CFR (Overhead hoists). OSHA notes that its Overhead Hoist standard requires the use ofoutriggers and other supports whenever prescribed by the manufacturer. 2) Operators ofthis equipment are trained in accordance with 29 CFR ) The employer has determined that each operator is qualified to safely operate that hoisting system per 29 CFR (b)(4). 4) When monorail hoists are mounted on equipment such as work vehicles, utility trailers, scaffolding systems (including mast climbing), and various other mobile or stationary support systems, the employer must also comply with all other OSHA construction requirements that are applicable to each supporting vehicle, equipment, and structure.

21 For employers who have establishments with 250 or more employees, the reports that must be filed and their submission deadlines are: For the 2016 reporting year, employers must submit their 300A reports by July 1, 2017 For the 2017 reporting year, employers must submit their OSHA 300, 300A and 301 by July 1, 2018 For the 2018 reporting year, employers must submit their OSHA 300, 300A and 301 by March 2, 2019

22 For employers who have establishments with 20 to 249 employees, and are classified in an industry listed in Appendix A to subpart E of this part, the reports that must be filed and their submission deadlines are: For the 2016 reporting year, employers must submit their 300A reports by July 1, 2017 For the 2017 reporting year, employers must submit their 300A by July 1, 2018 For the 2018 reporting year, employers must submit their OSHA 300A by March 2, 2019
