1 Speakers Profile Radhakrishnan Nair Former Member IRDA Mr. Radhakrishnan Nair is a Former Member of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA). His earlier assignments were Executive Director,Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), General Manager, Corporation Bank, Managing Director, CorpBank Securities. Mr. Nair is a keen trainer and has delivered lectures on development of money and debt markets, energising corporate bond market at various training centres across the country. He currently serves on the RBI Technical Advisory Committee on Money, Foreign Exchange and Government Securities Markets,SEBI Corporate Bonds and Securitisation Advisory Committee (CoBoSAC), FSDC Sub-Committee on Early Warning, International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) Committee on Financial Stability etc. Shri Nair is a Post Graduate in Science, Law and Management and has diploma in securities laws from the Government Law College, Mumbai and is a keen wild life activist and an avid golfer. Jyoti Majumdar Head of Client Markets Property & Casualty, India Reinsurance Asia Jyoti Majumdar was appointed Head of Client Markets (Property and Casualty) with effect from 1January Based in Mumbai, Jyoti leads Swiss Re's business activities with general insurance companies and other intermediaries in the Indian market. He is responsible for carrying out Swiss Re's ambitious High Growth Market initiatives running across multiple lines of business in the non-life re/insurance space. In his previous role with Swiss Re, he headed Swiss Re s global Catastrophe Perils (Cat Perils) team with a special focus on Asia. From his base in Swiss Re s office in Bangalore, Jyoti and his team developed natural hazard risk assessment models and provided high-end analytics for pricing, supporting all Asian and global teams underwriting natural catastrophe risk. He was involved in projects related to steering of Swiss Re s catastrophe exposed portfolio as well. Jyoti joined Swiss Re in 2009 as Natural Catastrophe Specialist. He started his career in Nat Cat risk management in 2003 with GE's insurance business. Jyoti holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration, specialising in finance from National Institute of Management, Kolkata, and studied statistics in college.

2 Ritesh Kumar Managing Director & CEO HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd. Ritesh Kumar is the Managing Director and CEO at HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd., one of the premier General Insurance Companies in India. He has about 25 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, of which the first 10 years were in Banking and the last 15 years in Insurance. Ritesh is a Commerce Graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and holds an MBA degree from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi. He started his career in 1992 as a Corporate banker. During his stint in Banking, he was involved in funding of projects across Manufacturing, Infrastructure and media sector. He was also involved in some of the earliest securitization deals in India. When the Insurance sector opened up at the turn of the millennium, he moved from Banking to the General Insurance industry. He joined his present company, HDFC ERGO in early Anuj Tyagi Executive Director HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd. Mr. Anuj Tyagi is the Executive Director and Chief Distribution Officer of the company. He is responsible for Corporate, Rural and Retail business and Reinsurance functions of the Company. Mr. Anuj Tyagi is a Science graduate from Delhi University and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. Mr. Tyagi joined the Company in 2008 as a Head Corporate Business Group and has about 16 years of work experience in insurance and banking. Satyan Jambunathan Chief Financial Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited Satyan Jambunathan is Chief Financial Officer at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, having responsibility for Finance and taxation, BIU, Legal and Corporate Communications. Prior to that he was the Chief Actuary with responsibility for Actuarial, Product and Risk functions. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India. Prior to joining ICICI Prudential, he was with the Life Insurance Corporation of India in various roles in Actuarial, Underwriting and Investments.

3 Rajesh Dalmia Senior Partner Ernst & Young s Rajesh Dalmia is a senior Partner with Ernst & Young s India practice, providing advisory services to Insurance companies. He has been working in the insurance industry for 15+ years as a consultant, and has also served as an Appointed Actuary for one of the largest Indian Insurers. As Appointed Actuary, Rajesh has had extensive interaction with the Board and the regulator on various actuarial matters. Rajesh has deep experience and expertise in the areas of modelling various insurance products and projections. Rajesh is the peer reviewer to a few insurance companies in India. He has also led the statutory valuation and embedded value projects for various insurance companies. Mohan Bharatia Partner, Insurance Consulting, L&T Infotech Mohan has over 22 years of experience in Insurance Technology. He along with the team, plays key role in transformational programs at L&T Infotech s Insurance clients globally. He headed the Insurance Solutions Office for L&T Infotech before current role. Solutions Office has been delivering solutions to Insurance clients across Intermediary and Carriers in US, Canada, UK and India. Currently, he and his consulting team is working in collaboration with innovation groups of diff clients to deliver technology led business differentiators. Capt.Sanjay B. Moholkar Partner Business Edge Enterprises LLP Capt.Sanjay B. Moholkar is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India and has a varied experience of more than three decades in the Indian Army (S.S.C.), Govt. of Maharashtra and leading Insurance companies viz. New India, Bajaj Allianz and Liberty Videocon. His experience covers the full range of insurance products ranging from Cattle insurance to Aviation and has been in leadership positions in various departments like Marketing, Underwriting and Claims and mostly as Head Claims. His extensive work in motor third party claims has changed the focus of industry. He has been a member of various industry bodies/committees like GIC, GI Council and TAC and a regular faculty at NIA, III, Insurance College and other forums. He has been actively involved as part of the core team of insurers and General Insurance Council in MV Amendment Act since He has recruited, trained and mentored his team and many of them are now in leadership roles with different insurers. He has established new start-ups and led his organisations to greater heights on the customer service front and made difference to established organisations by improving the

4 processes,strategies and profitability. His passion to bring the best service to the customer has led to him establishing his own business with like minded individuals. Kaushal Shah Head Financial Services Kotak Mahindra Capital Co. Ltd Kaushal is responsible for the financial services sector in Kotak Investment Banking managing client relationships and advising corporate clients on M&A, PE, Restructuring and domestic and international fund raising among others. He has over 18 years of industry experience spanning across Investment Banking, Equity Research, Treasury and Forex in Kotak, ICICI Securities, Tata Steel and Meso Group of Companies. During his tenure of more than 12 years in Kotak, Kaushal has number of firsts to his credit managing the o Largest PE fund raising for an MFI one of its deal where an MFI is converting into a Bank o Largest Bank M&A in India o First IDR (Indian Depository Receipts) issuance in India o First QIP issuance in India o Largest IPO in India o First Microfinance listing in Asia o PE and IPO of largest Gold Loan Financing Company in India among others. Kaushal has advised number of Small Finance Banks and Universal Banks in complying with their funding and regulatory requirement to get the bank license. Similarly it has advised number of banks and NBFCs across different forms of advisory products. He led the team that set the platform and process for executing GDRs in Kotak Kotak managed 7 GDRs in including the second largest GDR of Cipla (US$170 mn) Kaushal has been instrumental in the insurance sector in Kotak, where Kotak has advised number of M&A and advisory transactions including India entry strategy for global players, shareholder value analysis and valuation report among others for life and general insurance companies. Kaushal is an ACA (Chartered Accountant), CTM (Certified Treasury Manager) from ICFAI and MBA from ISB, Hyderabad. He was recently awarded the Professional Achievers Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Tapan Singhel MD & CEO Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company A celebrated voice in the BFSI sector, he has over two and a half decades of rich experience in the insurance industry. He has been with Bajaj Allianz since its inception in 2001 and was an integral part of the team starting up the insurance business in the retail market. Mr. Singhel has been involved in various international projects like setting up of retail business for Allianz in China and Bancassurance development in the Asia-Pacific region. Based out of the company s headquarters in Pune, he leads the company s overall growth strategy.

5 As a prominent industry figure and an outstanding leader, Mr. Singhel has spearheaded various innovative initiatives in the insurance industry. Known for his bold leadership to turn ideas into strategic actions, he has received many industry awards for his contribution. He was felicitated with the CEO of the Year award by ABF Insurance Asia Awards in He has also been featured in the list of LinkedIn Power Profiles for being the most viewed profile in the financial sector on LinkedIn in India for two consecutive years since Under the aegis of his leadership, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance was adjudged Aon Best Employer in Mr. Singhel started his career as a direct officer in 1991 with New India Assurance Company. He has handled portfolios as varied as accounts, IT, underwriting, claims, marketing, sales, etc. throughout his career. He holds the responsibility of Convenor of the Working Group on Non-Life Insurance of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He is the Chairman of IRDAI s panel to promote e-commerce in insurance, Member of IRDAI s Advisory Committee on Reinsurance and IRDAI s Insurance Advisory Committee. He was the President of Indo-German Chamber of Commerce for the year and was earlier the Vice-President for the year He was a member of the Board of Directors for Berkshire India Limited and Berkshire Hathaway Services India Private Limited during An alumnus of the prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Mr. Singhel has done his Masters in Physics with a specialization in Lasers and Spectroscopy and his schooling from La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata and St. Peters, Agra.
