2 EVENT REGULATIONS: The Burn Out event course is Eighty metres (80 Mtrs) in length. The Burn Out is a 90 second timed activity which permits vehicles to leave the start line with as much wheel spin as desired for the duration of the course. 1. START: The Event will commence at approximately 8.00am on Saturday 17 th & Sunday 18 th March PERSON ELIGIBLE: The event shall be open to persons who hold a current civil Driver Licence. 3. VEHICLES ELIGIBLE: Entries will be accepted at the discretion of the organisers. Entry numbers limited to 60 Vehicles. To ensure a place in the competition please return your fee and forms as soon as possible. 4. SCRUTINEERING: Scrutineering commences on Friday 16th March from 3.00pm to 7:00pm. Scrutineering will be held at Des Teis Shed (Refer to Track Map) Scrutineering will close at 7.00pm sharp. 5. DRIVER S BRIEFING: the attendance of all drivers is required the drivers briefing to be held at the admin building in the Vanderfield yard at 9:00am both days. (REFER TO THE TRACK MAP) 5. AWARDS: Trophies & prize money will be awarded to the winners at the discretion of the organisers. 6. DETERMINATION OF WINNERS: The result will be determined by official judges employed from other regions To ensure a fair competition. 7. RUNS: Each vehicle will be judged on their first run AND TOP 30 MAKE FINALS. Burnout competitors also get track expression sessions during the 2 days. 8. The Entrant / Driver agree to make available to the club (post event) any in car video footage taken during the event for possible use in future advertising by the club. APPAREL & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: Drivers & Passengers are Required to wear: A helmet that complies with AS1698. Suitable footwear. Prohibited are for example - thongs, roman sandals and nylon sneakers Goggles or visors with lens other than glass (AS ) in open cars ALL COMPETITORS AND PASSENGERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FIRE SUIT meeting SFI standard 3.2A/5 as a minimum. Summernats fire suits will be available at event. All participants must produce a current civil driver s licence. No consumption of alcohol will be permitted in the 12 hours prior to the event. Breathalyzer testing may be conducted with any participant returning a measurable reading being excluded. General safety check will be undertaken before vehicle is allowed to compete. VEHICLES The drivers and any passenger seating positions must have a securely mounted and approved seat belt fitted. All doors must have secure locking mechanisms. The fuel tank, if not original, is to be of professional construction standard and securely mounted. Bonnets must be fitted and front mudguards should also be fitted. No fluid to be placed on drive wheels by either manual or mechanical means. All wheels must have all wheel nuts/studs fitted and secured. All wheel weights must be removed from drive wheels. No dress rims or hubcaps to be fitted. Battery must be securely mounted. A general safety check will also be performed. Must have Tail Shaft loop. Official s word is final. Non-compliance will result in removal. PLEASE NOTE: All persons wanting to serve as Pit/Service crew MUST sign the forms provided. FEES: (Cheques/Money Orders are to be made payable to Downs Motorsport Club and are not considered received until HONOURED) Any cheque dishonoured will attract a $30.00 dishonour fee.
