2 NicTrans Walky Wandering Wombat Intro Rally Promoted by the Walkerville All Cars Club Saturday 10 th June 2006 Event Supplementary Regulations 1 Nature of Event The event shall be known as NicTrans Walky Wandering Wombat Intro Rally hereinafter referred to as the event and shall be a multi club non special stage introductory rally (under NRC 1.34) open to members of any CAMS affiliated club. 2 Authority 2.1 The event will be conducted over public and private roads in the State of South Australia. 2.2 The event will be held under the International Sporting Code of FIA, the National Competition Rules (NCRs) of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS), the National Rally Code (NRC), the Event Supplementary Regulations and any Further Bulletins or Regulations as may be issued. 3 Running Details 3.1 Competitors briefing will be held adjacent the United Service Station Truro at 17:45 hrs. All competitors must be present. 3.2 The event will start adjacent the United Service Station Truro at 18:00 hrs on Saturday 10 th June The first car is expected to finish at Walky Park at approximately 21:50 hrs. 3.4 The route will be approximately 170 km in length with approximately 80 km of transport. Non transport sections will be held on a gravel / dirt surface. 3.5 Timing will be to the whole minute, using target time, not elapsed time and no reconnaissance is permitted. 3.6 The event is not part of any series or championship. 3.7 Fuel will be available prior to the start from the Truro United Service Station and Shell Service Stations. Premium Fuel is available from the Shell Service Station, which closes at 8pm. PlusULP 94 octane fuel is available from the United Service Station, which also closes at 8pm. Manual refuelling may be performed at Walky Park in the refuel area only. 3.8 In the event of force majeure the organisers reserve the right to abandon, postpone, cancel or shorten the event. 3.9 If there are less than 15 entries the organisers also reserve the right to abandon the event. The event is limited to a maximum of 40 entries. 4 Organising Permit The CAMS Permit number is 506/1006/01. 5 Promoter The event will be promoted by the: Walkerville All Cars Club Inc. Entries close May 26 th 2006 at 2000 hrs. 8.4 The field will be limited to 40. If this limit is exceeded reserves will be allocated in order of receipt of entry. 8.5 Four wheel drive vehicles manufactured on or after 1 st Jan 1986 that are turbocharged or supercharged must be fitted with CAMS specification roll over protection. 8.6 The Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry in accordance with NCR 83. 4 8.7 Crews must consist of two persons only. Cars will start in competition number order with non-intro entries first followed by Intro entries. Non-intro entries will be seeded by DPI subject to the discretion of the Clerk of Course. Intro entries will be seeded at the discretion of the Clerk of Course. 8.8 The driver and navigator require a minimum of a Level 2NS licence. 8.9 Vehicles with roll over protection must be entered in the non-intro category Vehicles without roll over protection may be entered in the Intro or non-intro category. The Intro category is intended for novice competitors only. The Clerk of Course reserves the right to move experienced competitors from the Intro category to the non-intro category. 9 Maps and Instructions 9.1 Maps required for the event will be supplied by the organisers. 9.2 The Eudunda 1:100,000 topographic map may be of some use. Maps are available from Mapland, Level 1, 100 Pirie St, Adelaide. 9.3 Vehicles will require an odometer or some form of distance measuring device e.g. Terratrip, Brantz, Halda. A reasonably accurate odometer integrated with the speedometer will suffice. 9.4 The official odometer check in the City is done by travelling east along Greenhill Rd between two marked power poles and is 5.64km long. The Start pole is situated 100m West of Goodwood Rd. It has a sign stating ODO Start in white letters on a red background. The End pole is situated east of Burke St (directly opposite Laurel Ave). It is marked ODO Finish in white letters on a red background. 10 General 10.1 All vehicles must comply with CAMS Schedule R regarding minimum safety equipment Advertising & names on cars are permitted Navigation aids and under body protection are free in all classes Disputes re entry in a particular category will be resolved at the discretion of the Clerk of Course All control official and event officials will be Judges of Fact regarding movement of vehicles across lines and direction into controls Limitations on servicing will be advised in the route instructions. The maximum distance between services will be approx 100 km. Pump fuel is not available at the service park All crews must wear clothing that complies with the apparel regulations of Schedule D Apparel, 3 (v) (e) Non Special Stage Rallies. Helmets must be worn on closed road sections (recommended for others). 11 Scrutiny 11.1 Scrutiny for all entrants will be held at Povey Motors, 140a Tolley Rd, St Agnes between 19:00 hrs and 20:30 hrs on Thursday 8 th June. Competitors entering cars without roll over protection may be scrutineered on Saturday 10 th June from 15:30 hrs to 17:00 hrs in a location in Truro yet to be advised, however it is recommended that the Thursday session be attended where possible. 5 Re-scrutiny will also be performed on Saturday 10 th between 15:30 and 17:00 hrs Proof of passing scrutiny will be required before issue of route instructions Documents and items to be checked at Scrutiny will include; Civil licence for Drivers and other crew intending to drive Current CAMS competition licence for driver and navigator (a minimum of a Level 2NS) * Current CAMS Affiliated club membership card for all crew members CAMS Competition passbook or logbook if held Vehicle Registration Papers Reflective triangles, first aid kit, fire extinguisher(s), mudflaps & driving lights if fitted. Helmets must be carried for all crew members. Competition numbers will be supplied at the start * Participants may purchase a CAMS Level 2NS license during scrutiny at a cost of $ Scoring & Timing 12.1 All sections are timed to the elapsed minute Observations and passage controls may be used to check compliance with the route instructions. It is the crew s responsibility to have the observations recorded on the back of the road card and signed by the official at the next major control. Failure to do so will result in the appropriate penalty, E.g. loss of 30 points Crews are reminded that NRC 5.11 may apply during the event. 13 Protests Competitors are reminded of the provisions of NCR 205 and Part XII re protests. 14 Crew Responsibility 14.1 Crews are advised that the roads are not closed for the event (except as specified) and all road rules apply. Speed checks may be undertaken The average speed for sections will not be set higher than 80 km/h.
