6 ADAPTING TO AN ENVIRONMENT IN THE THROES OF CHANGE to continue providing the Group s clients with the best service RAPHAËL APPERT Chairman of Crédit Agricole Assurances Crédit Agricole Assurances performed very well in 2015 and has contributed significantly to the excellent results of Crédit Agricole Group Crédit Agricole Assurances performed very well in 2015 and contributed significantly to the excellent results of Crédit Agricole Group. With 30.4 in revenues in 2015, an increase of 3.1%, approximately 260 of assets under management, up 4.3%, and a portfolio of more than 28 million policies, Crédit Agricole Assurances has demonstrated the strength of its economic model in an everchanging environment and a difficult economic context. All our business lines have posted growth : 2.5% in savings/pensions with revenues of 24, 5.9% in general insurance ( 3.4 in revenues) and 5% in personal risk/creditor insurance/group insurance plans (revenue of 3 ). This success is due to the dynamism of the Crédit Agricole Group banks and the flexibility of its subsidiaries and abroad. Alongside these excellent commercial results, Crédit Agricole Assurances has a strong financial structure, as demonstrated by the Solvency ratio of 178% at the end of December 2015 by the terms of Solvency II. To continue optimising own funds within Crédit Agricole Group, in January 2015 Crédit Agricole Assurances successfully placed a second subordinated debt issue of 1 on the market. In addition to this, Crédit Agricole Assurances Group is a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and a committed actor in terms of social and environmental responsibilities. In 2015 the Group invested over 6.5 in funding the French economy. Against a backdrop of persistently low rates, the diversification of unitlinked inflow has intensified. Personal risk, health and general insurance have continued to develop. We have begun new synergies, in particular with the creation of Premundi, in order to develop longterm savings advice and solutions, and UAF Life Patrimoine with the aim of strengthening our presence in alternative channels. We have also seized opportunities to position ourselves in new territories, with the launch of the group insurance plan offering, and in doing so laying the foundations for a model for corporate bank insurance. 178% of Solvency II ratio* *Evaluated on 2015/12/21 on standard formula basis of Solvency II new prudential framework
