1 OFFICIAL RULES 2014 Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts-VIP Race Experience ( Sweepstakes ) NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. 1. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia) (collectively U.S. ) who currently reside in the U.S., are at least eighteen (18) years old at time of entry (or the legal age of majority in their state of legal residence, whichever is older) and who have a valid, current U.S. driver s license. Employees of SOPUS Products ( Sponsor ) and its parent, affiliates and subsidiaries, participating advertising and promotion agencies, participating U.S. Advance Auto Parts retailers, and those entities involved in the preparation of materials for, administration and/or execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively Promotion Entities ) and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household (whether or not related) as any of the foregoing employees are ineligible. Sweepstakes starts 12:00 a.m. Central Time ( CT ) on February 27, 2014, and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on March 26, 2014 ( Promotion Period ). Sponsor s computer will be the official timekeeping device of this Sweepstakes. 2. HOW TO ENTER: To enter during the Promotion Period ( Entry ) either: (1) scan the Sweepstakes Quick Response code ( QR code ) at participating U.S. Advance Auto Parts retail locations where an opportunity to enter this Sweepstakes is advertised, and then you will be taken to the Sweepstakes mobile entry website where you can complete the Sweepstakes registration process (entrant must have an internet-enabled smart-phone that has a QR code reader installed); or (2) type the mobile URL in your mobile web browser; or (3) access and follow directions to enter online without scanning QR code; or (4) mail in a completed entry form (available at Advanced Auto Parts retailers) to Advanced Auto Parts Quaker State 400 Offer # O764, P.O. Box , Houston, Texas All mail in entries must be postmarked by March 26, 2014 and received by April 4, Entry requires entrants to submit the following personal information at the time of Entry and/or the time of the Prize verification, depending on the entry method selected: name, address, date of birth, address, and daytime phone number. Sponsor cannot guarantee this Sweepstakes will be available via all wireless carriers. The QR code portion of the Sweepstakes Entry will be available on participating wireless carriers only. To scan a QR Code, your smart phone must have a QR Code reader application installed in your mobile device. QR Codes reader applications can be downloaded free of charge at your applicable mobile application store. Wireless carrier s instructions for QR code readers may vary. Entry in this Sweepstakes via Scan QR Code may not be available on all carriers; therefore, Sponsor cannot guarantee entry to Sweepstakes via Scan QR Code will be available to all individuals, mobile phones or eligible geographical locations. Standard data plan rates may apply to all QR code or mobile URL entries. Other charges may also apply. Check your mobile phone s capabilities with the manufacturer and consult your wireless carrier on all applicable rates and charges under your mobile plan involved in participating in this Sweepstakes via the Scan QR code method. Entrants, at their option and discretion, may elect to opt-in to receive future marketing and promotional communications from Sponsor via . Choosing to opt-in or choosing not to opt-in will not affect entrants chances of winning. The winner is subject to determination of eligibility and verification before any prize will be awarded. All eligible Entries received will be entered into a random drawing held by Sponsor (or its authorized representative) on or about April 30, By entering, all entrants and the winner agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and its authorized representatives, which are final and binding in all matters concerning this Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) Entry per person, during the Promotion Period, regardless of entry method used. Multiple Entries are not permitted. If more than one entry is received from one person, only the first entry submitted will be considered valid, however any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than one entry per person for the entire Promotion Period by using multiple/different addresses, identities, registrations, and logins, cheating or fraud, through a sweepstakes club or similar entity, or any other unauthorized methods will void entrant s Entries

2 and such entrant will be disqualified. Submitting mass Entries or Entries generated by an automated program, script, robotic, macro or use of any other devices is prohibited and will result in disqualification. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of Entry submission is not proof of its receipt by Sponsor. Only eligible Entries received by Sponsor during the Promotion Period will be eligible. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a participant in the Sweepstakes, the Entry will be deemed completed by the authorized account holder of the address, or mobile phone cellular number used to enter the Sweepstakes. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. The authorized account holder is the natural person assigned to an address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address; or if entry is by QR code or mobile URL, the natural person assigned to the cellular phone number by the cellular phone service provider. All Entries will be deemed to have been made by the authorized account holder. Promotion Entities are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, delayed, stolen, invalid, unintelligible, technically corrupted, garbled or illegible Entries, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise. All Entrants and Entries are subject to verification prior to the awarding of the Prize, as are the eligibility, age and other information provided by a potential winner. Potential winners agree to confirm eligibility and to help ensure that awarding a Prize to any such individual will not bring the Promotion Entities into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavorably on the Sweepstakes or the Promotion Entities as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. 3. PRIZE DRAWING: On or about April 10, 2014, Sponsor (or its authorized representative) will randomly select one (1) Prize winner from among all eligible Entries received. The potential Prize winner will be contacted via telephone or (in Sponsor s discretion) in order to notify him/her that he/she has been selected as a potential winner and to verify eligibility. 4. PRIZE, ODDS OF WINNING: A. One (1) PRIZE: A 3-day, 2-night Quaker State 400 VIP Racing experience in Sparta, Kentucky on June 27, 28 & 29, 2014 for winner and one (1) guest. Trip package consists of: roundtrip, coach class air transportation from a major U.S. gateway airport near winner s residence to a major U.S. gateway airport near Sparta, Kentucky; two (2) night s standard hotel accommodations (single room, double occupancy; hotel room tax included); VIP Race Day Experience on Saturday, June 28 th including Hospitality, VIP access and seating on race day, June 28 th, along with $400 total spending money for the winner. Total Approximate Retail Value ( ARV ) of the Prize: $3,950. Winner agrees to release, defend and hold harmless the Promotion Entities from and against any and all claims, actions, responsibilities, damages, costs and liabilities arising at any time relating thereto. Odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of eligible Entries received. C. All costs, fees and other expenses not specified in these Official Rules, including but not limited to any/all ground transportation, incidental travel costs, airport fees, parking fees, personal charges at the hotel, luggage fees, insurance, meals, beverages and gratuities are the winner s sole responsibility. D. The winner may waive the right to receive the Prize. Prize winner must be able to accept the Prize in its entirety or not at all. In the event of noncompliance with these Official rules, or if a potential Prize winner cannot be reached at the telephone number or address on his/her Entry after the second attempt, or if the Prize

3 notification is ignored, returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, or not timely responded to, for whatever reason, the Prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected. No assignment, transfer, or substitution of the Prize, in whole or in part, is permitted, except at Sponsor s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes, if any, on the Prize are winner s responsibility. Actual value of the Prize may vary from the amount set forth in these Official Rules. Winner will not receive the difference between the actual value and the ARV of the Prize. 5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Entries not legitimately submitted in accordance with these Official Rules are void. The potential winner will be subject to verification by Sponsor or its authorized representatives, whose decisions are final and binding. An entrant is not a winner of the Prize, unless and until said entrant s eligibility has been verified and said entrant has been notified that verification is complete and any documentation necessary for verification has been received and approved by Sponsor or its authorized representatives. Trip must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor. Travel must be roundtrip. Sponsor will determine airline, flight itinerary and hotel in its sole discretion. Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary, and guest must be 18 years of age or older (or of the legal age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older) at the time of prize verification. If in the judgment of Sponsor, air travel is not required due to the proximity of winner s legal residence to the prize location, ground transportation will be substituted for round trip air transportation at Sponsor s sole discretion. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in these Official Rules, including but not limited to meals, incidentals, airport fees, parking fees, personal charges at the hotel, etc., are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any upgrades, additional elements, or extras requested by winner are the sole cost and expense of the winner. Event and prize activities are subject to rain-check, modification and/or cancellation policies and procedures of organizers. Sponsor reserves the right to add, substitute, change or edit prize related elements and/or activities in its sole discretion. Lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets will not be replaced. Prize winner and guest are responsible for all travel related documents and to obtain and maintain applicable insurance at their own cost and expense. In the event Prize winner and/or his or her guest engage in behavior that (as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal, or that is intended to annoy, abuse, intimidate, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the trip or other applicable experience early, in whole or in part, and send winner and/or his or her guest home with no further compensation and any element of the Prize, if any, still remaining will be immediately forfeited. Prize winner will be required to sign, have notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (where legally permitted), within ten (10) business days following the date of notification. Failure to comply with this deadline will result in forfeiture of the Prize. Prize winner may be required to sign and return additional documents in order to receive the Prize. Prize winner s guest will be required to sign and return a Release of Liability/Publicity prior to tickets being issued. Acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its agencies to use winner s name, biographical information, opinions, voice, photograph and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, review, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical, human or other error in the printing of Sweepstakes and/or collateral advertising materials, administration of the Sweepstakes, processing of the Entries or in the

4 announcement of the Prize or in any other materials or information associated with the Sweepstakes. If, through printing or production error, or for any other reason whatsoever, more prizes are claimed for the Prize than intended and/or set forth in these Official Rules, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Prize by random drawing from all eligible claimants for the Prize. Only one Prize as set forth in these Official Rules will be awarded. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, technological or otherwise, which corrupt, disrupt or otherwise affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend any and all aspects of the Sweepstakes, and Sponsor reserves the right, but not the obligation, to select the winner from eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to the date of such action. Sponsor further reserves the right to disqualify any individual it suspects, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, to be cheating, or acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Caution: Any attempt by any individual to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from and seek prosecution of any such individual to the fullest extent of the law. 6. INDEMNIFICATION: Winner agrees, by accepting the Prize, and each entrant agrees, by participating in this Sweepstakes, to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, and its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, web development companies, advertising and promotional agencies, participating Advance Auto Parts retailers (and their parents, subsidiaries and affiliates), Prize suppliers and any other companies participating in the design, administration or fulfillment of this Sweepstakes and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively Released Parties ) from and against any and all liability for any threatened or actual injuries, loss, costs, or damages of any kind to any person, including death or disability, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the Prize, participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity or inability to participate in parts thereof including, without limitation, claims, suits, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, violation of the rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light (whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory, and whether or not caused in whole or in part by the negligence of one or more of the Released Parties. Entrants covenant not to sue any Released Party or cause them to be sued regarding any matter released above; and further covenant not to disaffirm, limit or rescind this release. A waiver by one or more of the Promotion Entities of any term in these Official Rules does not constitute a waiver of any other provision. 7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT WILL THE RELEASED PARTIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ANY ENTRANT S ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE PROMOTIONAL WEBSITES (INCLUDING ANY MOBILE WEBSITES AND/OR MICRO SITES PERTAINING TO THE SWEEPSTAKES) OR THE DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING OF MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM THE WEBSITE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EXCEPT FOR ANY STANDARD WARRANTY THAT MAY BE PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER OF A PRIZE TO THE WINNER, IF ANY, SPONSOR HAS NOT MADE, AND SPONSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IN ANY MANNER FOR, ANY WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR LAW, RELATING TO ANY PRIZE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THEIR QUALITY, MECHANICAL CONDITION, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON- INFRINGEMENT. INTERNET/WIRELESS SERVICES: Sponsor is not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software, telephone or other communications, incompatibility, malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive information by Sponsor on account of technical problems, lost or unavailable network connections, telephone connections, wireless device connections or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. 9. GOVERNING LAW; DISPUTES: By entering the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or the Prize award shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court in Houston, Texas; and (ii) in addition to the limitations in Section 7 of these Official Rules, any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys fees. Except where prohibited by law, all issues concerning the construction, validity and enforcement of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor, shall be construed and governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflicts of law rules that may cause the application of a law other than the law of the State of Texas. 10.
