1 UNICUSANO RESIDENCE REGULATIONS For annual and daily/weekly stays Valid from 1 August 2018 GENERAL PROVISIONS All the provisions of the present Regulations shall be accepted and signed by each student on acceptance of the accommodation at the Unicusano Residence. The University Niccolò Cusano - Telematica Roma reserves the right to make changes to the Regulations whenever needed for the improvement of the service and of the community life. Students shall be obliged to read the new regulations, and accept and respect the relevant provisions. Should a student refuse to accept the new Regulations, this will constitute a just cause to withdraw the benefit of the assigned accommodation. The student in question will then be obliged to leave the UNICUSANO Residence immediately. ART 1 - TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION The UNICUSANO Residence is the structure intended for guest accommodation provided by the University of Niccolò Cusano - Telematica Roma (hereinafter UNICUSANO). The Residence Unicusano is located in Via Don Carlo Gnocchi,3, Rome. The Residence offers accommodation as follows: - OPTION A: 160 beds that can be booked only on an annual basis. Student rooms are double with bunk beds. - OPTION B: beds that can be booked from 1 night, up to a maximum of 13 consecutive nights. These rooms can be either double or quadruple with bunk beds. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom. Only bunk beds are available. Rooms do not have kitchenettes and it is strictly forbidden to cook meals inside rooms.

2 ART 2 - RECIPIENTS OF THE UNICUSANO RESIDENCE SERVICE Accommodation at the UNICUSANO Residence is reserved: -for annual bookings (art.1 - option A), to students enrolled in one of the UNICUSANO degree courses, who are duly enrolled at the moment of the booking and up to date with the payment of university fees. - for daily and weekly bookings (art.1 - option B), to students enrolled in one of the degree courses, Masters, Specialization Courses of UNICUSANO, who are duly enrolled at the moment of the booking and up to date with the payment of university fees. During the stay at the UNICUSANO Residence, access will be permitted no later than 12 a.m. (midnight) and no earlier than 7:30 a.m. A night porter service is provided. ART. 3 - RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION OF BEDROOMS Since all bedrooms are equipped with bunkbeds, in both double and quadruple rooms, reservations are intended for a single bed and not for the entire room. Likewise, it is not permitted to book as a single occupancy more than one bed in the same room. Unicusano will automatically cancel irregular bookings The student who chooses to apply for accommodation on an annual basis (art.1 - option A) must book the bed for the entire academic year (the academic year begins on the 1st August of each year and ends on the 31st July of the following year). It will not be possible to make reservations for a period longer or shorter than the aforementioned duration. Reservations for a bed for the first year (which runs from 1 August 2018 to 31 July 2019) must be booked no later than 31 July As regards reservations for the following years, students who have already stayed in the Residence during the previous year will have a priority access, provided that they have successfully passed at least 3 exams during the current academic year. A student who has occupied the bed for an entire year, will have the opportunity to book again for the following year no later than the 30th May. Otherwise, the bed will be considered available as from 1st August. Any cancellation of the booking has to be promptly communicated, at the latest no less than 15 days before the date of the first overnight stay. Cancellation notices must be sent in writing to the address residenza@unicusano.it

3 The student who fails to cancel the booking or who cancels it with a delay, that is to say after the expiration of the cancellation terms, will be required to pay a cancellation penalty of (two hundred euros). Students who decide to renounce their accommodation and/or to interrupt their stay at Unicusano Residence will still be required to pay the full annual fee The student who chooses to apply for accommodation according to option B (Article 1), may choose from the following options: a) 1 night b) more than 1 night and up to a maximum of 6 consecutive nights c) up to a maximum of 13 consecutive nights. A student who books a package for 13 consecutive nights, will be NOT allowed to add any additional night after the 13th. Students who book for 13 consecutive nights can only re-book after a 6-night interval starting from the 13th night of accommodation. The reservation must be made a minimum of 7 days in advance of the start date of the overnight stay. The reservation can be made up to a maximum of 30 days before the start date of the overnight stay. The cancellation of the booking must be promptly communicated, at the latest no later than 3 days before the start date of the overnight stay. The cancellation notice must be sent in writing to the address residenza@unicusano.it The student who fails to cancel the booking or who cancels it with a delay, that is after the expiration of the cancellation terms, will be still required to pay the fee for the period he/she has booked (as per Art.6 Costs of the Regulations) The booking application for a bed must be made by filling in the specific form available on the official Unicusano website ( or by calling the relevant telephone contacts. The acceptance is subject to the availability of beds and to the acceptance of the present Regulations The UNICUSANO Residence will be closed from 24th December at 10:00 am until 2nd January at 14:00 pm, therefore it will not be possible to stay during the nights of the 24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31 December and the night of 1st January. For the guests of the "Residenza", the bar and canteen remain closed:

4 - on national holidays - on the evening of 24 December - on the evening of 31 December - 10 days of the month of August which will be announced in July according to the frequency of the mid- August holiday. ART. 4 - ASSIGNMENT OF THE BED The check-in and bed assignment procedures must take place during the opening hours of the Residence Reception service (i.e. from 8:30 to 24:00). Rooms will be available from 14:00 on the arrival date until 10:00 on the departure date. 4.2 To be assigned a bed, students should apply to the administrative office of the UNICUSANO Residence where they will: - be asked to present an original identification document to the office staff. Identification documents accepted include: identity card, passport, residence permit, driving license, or any other document issued by a state administration showing a photograph; - be required to pay the amount due, unless he/she proves that he/she has already paid by bank transfer or by online credit card payment (as provided by Article 6, Costs of the Regulations); - receive (unless they already own one) the specific identification badge that must be always visibly worn when outside the room; - receive the room key The bed is for the exclusive use of the student to whom it is assigned. In no case can unauthorized persons be permitted to occupy or share the bed, even temporarily Students who, after a given period, wish to move to a different room, must submit their application to the administrative office of the UNICUSANO Residence, which reserves the right to reject it, with no possibility of recourse. Under no circumstances is the student who has been assigned a bed allowed to

5 change room without following the above mentioned procedure. The infringement of the present article (4.4) constitutes grounds for withdrawal of the accommodation. 4.5 After being assigned a bed and after completing the payment procedure, students are admitted to the Residence and, for the entire period of assignment, acquire the right of accommodation in the assigned room, under the limits laid down by: - the present Regulations; - respect for the rights of the other residents. ART. 5 - CHECK OUT The check-out procedure must take place at the UNICUSANO RESIDENCE administrative office no later than 10:00 a.m. on the last day of stay. 5.2 After leaving the room, students must contact the administrative office of the UNICUSANO Residence and return the key All personal belongings must be cleared out of the room or any other space used before returning the key. ART. 6 - COSTS The assignment of the bed is subject to the payment of the amount due, which can be made: - by bank transfer to the bank account details specified in the ad-hoc section of the official website - online by credit card; - cash, at the relevant office located inside Unicusano campus; - by debit card at the - by credit card, at the relevant office located inside Unicusano campus; Only after the amount due is duly paid is the bed assigned to the student for the booked period of time. 6.2 Room availability starts from 14:00 of the first day booked, until 10:00 a.m. of the day following the last night booked. (For example: if a student has made a reservation for the nights of 11, 12 and 13 January, the student can occupy the room on 11 January from 14:00 and must leave it on 14 January by 10:00 a.m.) The costs of accommodation at the UNICUSANO Residence are determined by Unicusano annually If the student chooses to reserve a bed for a whole year, the costs are:

6 an entire annual amount of (two thousand twenty-eight euros) * total per bed, excluding meals, payable in a one-off payment, or in 10 monthly instalments, each one of the same amount, to be settled by the 10th of every month, with the first payment due on 10 th September 2018 and the last one on 10 th June * Excluding visitor taxes. The Municipality of Rome requires the payment of a daily Visitor Tax according to the provisions of the current legislation available on the official website The student who decides to renounce his accommodation and/or to interrupt his stay at Unicusano Residence will still be required to pay the full annual fee If a student chooses to book a bed for 1 night and up to a maximum of 13 consecutive nights, the costs vary depending on the period chosen: - 1 night (forty euros) * total per bed, meals not included. - more than 1 night and up to a maximum of 6 consecutive nights (sixty euros) * total per bed, meals not included. - up to a maximum of 13 consecutive nights at (one hundred and twenty euros) * total per bed, meals not included. * Excluding visitor taxes. The Municipality of Rome requires the payment of the daily Visitor Tax according to the provisions of the current legislation available on the official website The student who delays his arrival of one or more days, will not be entitled to have discounts or refunds, but will be required to pay the entire fee. The student who stays for a fewer number of nights than those booked will not be entitled to have discounts or refunds Costs include: the consumption of water - electricity - gas; shuttle bus service at scheduled time periods; supply of bed linen and weekly change of bed linen; weekly bedroom and bathroom cleaning service For European and extra European Erasmus students, the price for the accommodation at the Unicusano residence is 202,80 Euro per month, plus the tourist tax per day only for the first 10 days.

7 ART. 7 - CHECKS AND INSPECTIONS -ACCESS TO THE ROOM BY ADMINISTRATATIVE STAFF The Administration of the UNICUSANO Residence, reserves the right to carry out checks to verify that facilities are in working order and that the room is being properly maintained. These checks of the rooms will be carried out after informing the residents concerned. If the maintenance services are requested by the student or there is need for extraordinary and urgent repairs, the staff has access to the rooms even in the absence of the residents and without prior notice. Inspections to verify that the Regulations are being adhered to, as well as to check the state of furnishings and facilities, can be carried out at any time and without prior notice. In cases where the staff find poor hygiene in the room or observe unauthorized behaviour, they shall promptly notify the Residence administration so that appropriate measures may be applied, as per Art. 8 Standards of communal behavior of the present Regulations. CODE OF CONDUCT ART. 8 - STANDARDS OF COMMUNAL BEHAVIOUR In communal accommodation, such as the UNICUSANO Residence, each resident must behave towards other students, and to the maintenance and security staff, with the decorum, respect and collaboration that is due to them. Apart from this general requirement, students must also comply with the stipulations referred to in Article 9 Prohibitions of the Regulations. ART. - 9 PROHIBITIONS It is forbidden to: 1. allocate to its particular use any part of the common areas, such as courtyards, gardens, terraces, external walls, windows, occupy them with furniture, tools and other objects or, in any case, prevent their use by the others housed; 2. receive in-room acquaintances, relatives, other students who are not guests of the Unicusano Residence;

8 3. receive in the room other students staying in the Residence if not allowed by the room co-host; 4. to keep animals on the premises of the Residence and in the areas external to them; 5. to disturb, in particular after pm and before 8.00 am and between 2.00 pm and 3.30 pm and in any case to behave in such a way as not to be incompatible with the needs of others students; 6. to keep flammable materials, harmful substances, radioactive substances in the common areas and inside the rooms; 7. throw or deposit garbage or waste outside the appropriate containers; 8. throw materials into the drainage pipes of washbasins and bidets that could obstruct the pipes; 9. make changes in the rooms, painting, painting, moving or adapting plants and furniture; 10. exhibit notices, signs or other, with the exception of spaces that may be specially reserved; 11. tamper with the electrical system, smoke detectors and use multiple sockets; 12. make or introduce furniture or equipment of any kind in the common areas and rooms and proceed with disassembly, modification or other of the furnishings; 13. perform or have repairs performed, except for maintenance operations within the facilities by authorized personnel; 14. use stoves or cookers of any type (eg microwave ovens, food warmer plates, beverage heaters, electric warmers, etc....); 15. install electrical equipment with sufficient power to exceed the available load; the custody staff, in case of inspection, is authorized to retain any unauthorized electrical equipment; 16. damage existing vegetation and plant new essences; 17. to stretch temporary threads to dry the laundry both inside the room and at the windows and balconies; place drying racks of any kind in the UNICUSANO Residence area; 18. smoking inside any residence room; 19. keep weapons of any nature or gender; 20. to keep and / or use alcoholic beverages and drugs;

9 21. practice games / sports in the internal and external areas of the UNICUSANO Residence which can damage the infrastructure or disturb other people (such as football, tennis, volleyball, etc.); 22. use open flames in any internal and external area of the UNICUSANO Residence. ART REQUIREMENTS Students are required to: 1. promptly notify the Unicusano Residence Office of any changes in their personal data (residence address, telephone number, address, etc.) communicated upon their arrival; 2. promptly report any contagious diseases that they may suffer from. In this case, Unicusano will temporarily suspend the student from using the bed, until their complete recovery; 3. promptly report to the maintenance staff any malfunction or damage; 4. correctly use all the furnishing and accessories supplied, including the drains of bathrooms to prevent them from clogging, avoiding throwing into them any objects, such as food residues, cotton-swabs, etc.; 5. correctly use any domestic appliances supplied to the room, as well as respecting the environment; 6. remove their personal belongings from wardrobes, bedside tables and/or other rooms, before their definitive departure from the Residence; 7. respect the evening curfew at the UNICUSANO Residence (it is not possible to enter the Residence after 12:00 am (midnight) and until 8:30 am); 8. keep money and/or objects of value and anything else under their exclusive responsibility. Unicusano assumes no responsibility towards student-guests for valuables or money or anything else left by them either in the rooms or in the premises used to deposit personal belongings. ART STUDENTS RIGHTS The student staying at the UNICUSANO Residence has the right: 1. to occupy the room during the opening dates of the Residence accommodation building, according to the schedule set forth in the Regulations; 2. to receive bed coverings supplied with the assigned bed (bath towels are not included); 3. to have a weekly change of bed linen (sheets);

10 4. to have a weekly cleaning of the bathroom and bedroom; 5. to use the structures and facilities of the Residence, as well as those of the assigned room, in compliance with the rules and schedules regulating their use and with the needs of all other users; 6. to have communal spaces duly cleaned; 7. to have regular maintenance and repair of structures and equipment of the room; 8. to use the shuttle bus service at scheduled times. MEASURES AND SANCTIONS ART DAMAGES, LOSSES AND WEAR If students are responsible for damage, loss or wear and tear of the furnishings or other equipment in place when the bed was assigned to them, they will be required to pay a sum equal to the costs borne by the Residence for the repair or replacement of any items. Students will be notified in writing of any damages incurred, and payment must be made within 7 days of this notification. In the case of any malfunction of equipment in the assigned room, students must promptly inform the Management, who will see to repairs as soon as possible. If the malfunction should repeat itself and the cause attributed to wrong use by the student (e.g. blocked drain caused by throwing inappropriate material into it), the Management reserves the right to demand payment from the student for the cost of repairs. ART DISCIPLINARY MEASURES The student who violates the provisions of the Regulations or in any way commits acts prejudicial to the normal functioning of the Residence is subject to the following disciplinary measures: a) Written admonition b) Suspension of the accommodation c) Withdrawal of the accommodation In the event of written admonition, a notice of reprimand will be delivered, either by hand at the Residence where the student is staying or, in case of unavailability, by registered mail with return receipt to

11 the student's personal residence address, notified at the time of the bed assignment. Students are required to return to good behavior, failing which they could face the application of the provisions of the following paragraph In the event of suspension of the accommodation, this measure will be delivered, either by hand at the Residence where the student is staying or, in case of unavailability, by registered mail with return receipt at the student's personal residence address, notified at the time of the bed assignment. This measure is adopted in the case of serious violations or for having committed an offence after having received a prior admonition as per paragraph 13.1 of the present article. The suspension period is determined according to the severity of the violation or offence In the event of withdrawal of the accommodation, a written notice will be delivered, either by hand at the Residence where the student is staying or, in case of unavailability, by registered mail with return receipt at the student's personal residence address, notified at the time of the bed assignment. ART. 14 -STUDENT S OBLIGATIONS TO AVOID WRITTEN ADMONITION The student undertakes to: respect the rules set by the UNICUSANO Residence Regulations for the use of the premises, equipment and spaces made available to students; not to leave bulky materials in common areas and rooms; not to place cumbersome objects on the terraces and/or windowsills which could endanger the safety of passersby; not to throw water or other materials from the windowsills or terraces which could damage the premises or pose a danger to other residents or passersby; not to throw into the drainage ducts of washbasins, toilets, etc. materials which can clog the pipes; not to remove or introduce furniture or equipment of any kind in the common areas and rooms, or dismantle, modify or otherwise change the furnishings, in the absence of written authorization from Unicusano; to pay compensation for damages caused to the structure;

12 not to disturb other guests and neighbours. In particular, after pm and before 8.00 am, it is strictly forbidden to sing or make noises of any kind. In the remaining hours of the day, the general behavior must be such as not to disturb others; behave correctly towards custodians and other students; not to put anyone up in the assigned bedroom and/or share the bed; not to use stoves or cookers of any type in the assigned room (e.g. microwave ovens, food warmer plates, beverage heaters, electric heaters, etc.); not to keep animals of any kind inside the structure; not to violate the rules contained in the Regulations. ART STUDENT S OBLIGATIONS TO AVOID SUSPENSION OF ACCOMODATION The measure of the suspension of the accommodation will be notified to the student together with the 3rd written admonition, related to infringements of the obligations contained in the previous art. 14 STUDENT S OBLIGATIONS TO AVOID WRITTEN ADMONITION and of the rules contained in the Regulations. ART STUDENT S OBLIGATIONS TO AVOID WITHDRAWAL OF ACCIOMMODATION The withdrawal measure will be notified to the student together with the 4th written admonition related to infringements of the rules contained in these Regulations and the obligations contained in art. 14. STUDENT S OBLIGATIONS TO AVOID WRITTEN ADMONITION of the Regulations. The withdrawal measure will be notified to the student in the following cases: transfer of the assigned bed to outsiders; if the assignee has obtained the bed by submitting false statements; in the case of behavior contrary to public policy; failure and/or delay in the payment of compensation for any damage caused to the Residence and/or movable assets of the Residence; possession and/or use of alcoholic beverages and/or drugs;

13 moving to a different room, without authorization from Unicusano; in case of infringements of article 18 LEGAL OBLIGATIONS of the present Regulations. In case of withdrawal of the accommodation, the student must clear the room and leave within 24 hours. The student shall be obliged to settle any pending debt and/or any other amount of money he still owes to UNICUSANO Residence. ART WITHDRAWAL OF THE ACCOMMODATION In the case where UNICUSANO issues a measure of withdrawal of accommodation against a student, he or she will have 24 hours to clear the room of all their belongings and leave the UNICUSANO Residence permanently. If he/she fails to do so within the deadline of 24 hours, the persons in charge of Unicusano will have the right to enter the student s room and forcibly remove all the personal belongings of the student to whom the withdrawal measure has been addressed. The student s belongings will be stored in suitable premises for another 30 days, after which Unicusano will be held no longer accountable for them. ART LEGAL OBLIGATIONS In the case where students behave in a way that is punishable by administrative or criminal proceedings, UNICUSANO will file a formal complaint before the competent authorities, with no advance notice of a measure of withdrawal of the accommodation. FINAL PROVISIONS ART GUEST PRIVACY POLICY Pursuant to Legislative Decree n. 196/2003 Code regarding the protection of personal data, use of the personal data of guests is intended for all manual and electronic operations necessary for the implementation of the statutory objectives relevant to Law n. 390/1991.

14 By signing the acceptance of the accommodation, guest agree that their personal data may be used by Unicusano for its institutional activities, promoted and/or organized by UNICUSANO itself or in collaboration with other partners, in compliance with the provisions of the legislation on privacy. ART REFERENCE PROVISION By signing acceptance of these Regulations, students who are assigned UNICUSANO accommodation accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Rome for all possible controversies concerning the legitimacy, validity, effectiveness and execution of each and every rule of the present Regulations.
