2 1 Report Summary 1.1 Certification Overview This report is to introduce variations to certificate numbers IECEx SIR X and Sira 11ATEX1104X to assess the following modifications: Sira 11ATEX1104X i. Type/Type Examination Certificate in accordance with 94/9/EC updated in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU. (In accordance with Article 41 of Directive 2014/34/EU, Type Examination Certificates referring to 94/9/EC that were in existence prior to the date of application of 2014/34/EU (20 April 2016) may be referenced as if they were issued in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU. Variations to such Type Examination Certificates may continue to bear the original certificate number issued prior to 20 April 2016.)]. ii. The recognition of minor drawing modifications; updated the locking screw, dimensional changes, introduction of tolerances and the updating of the approvals block; these amendments are administrative or involve changes to the design that do not affect the aspects of the product that are relevant to explosion safety. iii. iv. The removal of Balluff GmbH Neuhausen Germany from the list of additional manufacturing locations. The assessment standards were updated to reflect the standards update conducted on report R (Variation 1) IECEx SIR X i. The recognition of minor drawing modifications; updated the locking screw, dimensional changes, introduction of tolerances and the updating of the approvals block; these amendments are administrative or involve changes to the design that do not affect the aspects of the product that are relevant to explosion safety. ii. All changes above are minor and have no bearing on the protection method nor certification. Flamepath dimensions have not changed. All dimensions which have been changed from non-critical to critical are for the manufacturer s internal quality system and where not changed as a result of subsequent assessments by CSA. The values and tolerances for the subject dimensions are unchanged and therefore have no effect on the flamepaths. The change to the tolerance of the 2.26 mm dimension found on drawing only serves to tighten up the tolerance of this dimension and therefore has no negative effect on any of any of the flamepaths. There are no changes in tolerance which affect any of the sealing arrangements for dust ingress or the zone 0/1 barrier. All consideration to the applicable standards listed in this report have been made. No additional evaluation or testing deemed necessary. Report number: R A Page 9 of 13

10 All EN standards have been updated per report No further assessment required as this only corrects the edition 2 of ATEX certificate Sir 11ATEX1104X. 4 Tests No samples were received and no tests were conducted. 5 Assessment Against the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU All relevant Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSRs) in Annex II of the Directive are addressed by the listed standards.
