2 Special Perils and other No.CWC /FD-INS/Renewal/421/ Date: E-Tender Notice Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) invites online e-tenders under two bid system from insurance companies registered with IRDA having valid certificate of renewal for STANDARD FIRE & SPECIAL PERILS POLICY AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS POLICIES FOR THE YEAR. 1.0 The Central Warehousing Corporation (hereinafter described as Corporation) is a Government of India Undertaking established u/s 3 of the Warehousing Corporations Act, 1962, primarily for the purpose of (a) acquiring and building godowns and warehouses; (b) run warehouse for storage of agricultural produce, seeds, manure, fertilizer, agricultural implements and other notified commodities; and (c) for arranging facilities for their transportation. Since the Organization is engaged in the warehousing and related logistics business, it intends to buy suitable insurance policies to cover its various risks. As on , the Corporation has approx. 431 Warehouses including Container Freight stations (CFS)/Inland Container Depots (ICD)/Integrated Check Posts (ICP) situated all over the country. 2.0 The insurance policies obtained by the Corporation for the year covering buildings, properties and the stocks of the depositors stored in its warehouses situated all over the country and other miscellaneous policies are expiring on and are to be renewed with effect from Corporation, therefore, invites bids for the renewal of its insurance policies for the year in accordance with the bidding document. Custom Duty all risk policy Custom duty all risk insurance at Bonded Warehouses/CFSs/ICDs/ICPs in respect of various locations in the Country (as per Custom Notification no. 70/2016-Customs (N.T.) dt ) Rs.295 Cr. Electronic Equipments Policy Loss or Damage to Computers & other Electronic Gadgets installed in warehouses, CFSs, ICDs, ICPs, Regional Offices, Guest Houses, Training Centres and Corporate Office. House Breaking & Burglary Policy with Theft Extension House Breaking, Burglary & Theft Insurance covering Depositors Stocks as well as CWC s Own Property & Dead Stock Items stored in all its Warehouses, CFSs, ICDs, ICPs, Cold Storage, Regional Offices, Corporate Office, Guest Houses and Training Centre AOA Rs.5 Cr. and AOY Rs.10 Cr. 11. Fidelity Guarantee Insurance Policy Risk of Losses likely to occur due to act of dishonesty or fraud on the part of about 3240 regular employees of CWC in December AOA Rs.5 Cr. and AOY Rs.20 Cr. 12. Public Liability Insurance Act Policy Risk of Death, injury or damage to any property arising out of storage and handling of hazardous Commodities in CFSs, ICDs, ICPs or Warehouses of CWC all over the country to Public at large as required under Public Liability Insurance Act, 1991 AOA Rs.5 Cr. and AOY Rs.15 Cr. 13. Errors & Omissions Policy Legal Liability arising out of storage and handling of cargo at ICD NSEZ and Cargo held in Trust as bailee also during Transportation of valuables, jewelry and precious items by road/ rail from Noida SEZ to IGI Airport and back. AOA Rs.50 Cr. And AOY Rs.50 Cr. 14. Directors/Officers liability Policy To cover board level Directors including Managing Director and officers upto the level of Manager. The total number of such officers is 123 presently. Rs.5 Cr Cash in Chest & Cash in Transit Policy with RSMD & Extension Group Mediclaim Policy for Retired employees and their spouses. Risk arising out of Cash kept in Chest at Corporate Office not exceeding Rs.1 Lakh and Cash being carried from Bank to Cash Chest Corporate Office and vice versa not exceeding Rs. 1 Lakh 4450 Retired Employees & their Spouses including spouses of Deceased Employees with all existing diseases and no age bar with annual limit of Rs /- for Indoor Treatment. All the costs towards treatment shall be admissible including consumable except the items in IRDA inadmissible list. Proportionate premium will be payable for any additional number of retired employees to be covered during the contract period.
