2 Course Outline The workplace is an ever evolving environment and today Non-Financial Executives are required to hold the knowledge of key financial concepts. This has come about from the necessity to create synergy between the finance departments and non- finance departments so shared business objectives and drivers can be communicated effectively. This program is designed for non- financial managers who are not accountants but have a need to have an understanding of how finance works. It demystifies finance and the finance department by explaining simply and clearly what the key financial statements mean, how they work and relate to each other and how the actions of managers affect them and the business. The course will empower you with the knowledge required to present reports using the correct financial terminology When you return to your company, you ll have a solid base of knowledge about financial statements and concepts. You ll be able to confidently interpret financial data and answer relevant questions about your department and operations. Beyond that, you ll have the business acumen to know the advantages and disadvantages of different types of financial data and analysis tools, so you ll know the right kinds of questions to ask to accomplish your department s and company s goals.
