Junior Account Program Designed for members through age 9, this program provides an easy way for young investors to begin learning the rewards of saving. Members receive a postcard every other month, offering an incentive when a $3 deposit is made. Financial Youth Group Designed for members ages 10-13, this group receives a postcard every other month with tips for saving money, getting better grades and setting goals. Members may also participate in our annual Good Grades Program, Summer of Savings and Cold Hard Cash savings programs. Young Adult Financial Group Designed for members ages 14-21, these members enjoy continued savings with our Earn & Learn Account and high school seniors are invited to enter our annual $1500 College Scholarship Program. The scholarship focuses on a three-page essay or 3-6 minute video, with consideration given to scholastic standing and extracurricular activities. Each essay or video should address one of the following topics: 1. Students entering college often begin earning, budgeting and managing money themselves without support of their parents. What products and services could college students use to help with financial and budgeting needs to achieve financial success during college and beyond? Describe in detail each product or service and how it will help in reaching financial success. 2. As an intern for our American Eagle Credit Union Foundation, your assignment is to develop a $20,000 grant for financial education. Define the focus of the financial education and the target audience or groups which would benefit from the education. Also include the types of programs and resources you would implement, how would you promote/encourage community involvement, and how you would measure success of the effort. In addition to the essay/video, applicants must submit an official high school transcript including 1st semester of senior year, letter of acceptance from the college or university of choice, completed 2017 official application and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or work/volunteer supervisor.
