3 Management Report Through a variety of strategic initiatives in 07, the Board, Management, and Staff continued to fulfill Arizona Central s Vision Statement of Helping people achieve financial success for every stage of life. Allpoint ATM Network Members now have access to more than 32,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide through the Allpoint Network. It s more convenient than ever for members to access their money when and where they want, without additional fees. CU Succeed Scholarship Fund Arizona Central strengthened it s commitment to the community with the introduction of the CU Succeed Scholarship. Two outstanding high school seniors were awarded $2,000 scholarships, renewable annually for up to four consecutive years. It was another example of our commitment to fulfi lling Arizona Central s Vision Statement. Central Points TM Member Rewards Program In October, Arizona Central introduced Central Points, a unique program that rewards members for bringing more business to the credit union. Members earn points when they save or borrow and when they refer new members to the credit union. Members can use their points to waive fees, get a lower interest rate on qualifying consumer loans, and increase the dividend rate on new Certifi cates. New Branches In November, the credit union celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch at 32 nd St. and Bell Road in Phoenix. The branch features a full-service lobby, walk-up ATM, Internet kiosk, fi nancial resource library, and Saturday hours for added convenience. Management Report Community Service Throughout 07 Arizona Central maintained its ongoing commitment to Credit Unions for Kids, a nationwide initiative to raise money for the Children s Miracle Network. In total, the credit union and its members donated $50,000 to CMN, directly benefiting programs at the Phoenix Children s Hospital and Tucson Medical Center. This was the largest donation Arizona Central has made to CMN in a single year. In October, Arizona Central joined with other credit unions in a statewide initiative called Together We Paint. In total, volunteers painted and repaired 36 homes of low-income seniors and disadvantaged homeowners in Flagstaff, Yuma, Prescott Valley, Tucson, and Metro Phoenix. In addition to these efforts, Arizona Central made direct donations or provided support to Junior Achievement, Make- A-Wish Foundation, Packages from Home, Scottsdale Police Officer s Association, Arizona Autism Support, Special Olympics, and Phoenix Fire Department Anti-Drowning Coalition. In closing, we would like to thank the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Committee, and the credit union staff for their dedicated service in 07. We would also like to thank the members for their support in choosing Arizona Central. We look forward to continuing to be your financial services provider For every stage of life TM. Respectfully submitted, John Ingram, Chairman Kathleen Shanahan, Treasurer Roland E. Livermon Jr., President/CEO The credit union also broke ground on a new branch in Flagstaff. Located on the southeast corner of Woodlands Village Blvd. and University Ave., the credit union s 12 th branch is scheduled to open in mid-08.

4 Supervisory Committee Report Comparison Tables The volunteers of the Supervisory Committee are ap pointed by the Board of Directors to watch over the members interests in Arizona Central Credit Union. Each year we review credit union records to ensure the staff carried out their duties responsibly and that Arizona Central was properly operated, while maintaining all required documentation and conforming to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. To assist in these duties, the Committee retained the Certified Public Accounting firm of Clifton Gunderson, L.L.P. This firm conducted their regular audit of operations and verified members accounts in order to issue an opinion on the credit union s financial statements. Arizona Central is chartered, regulated, and examined by the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions as well as the National Credit Union Administration. As further protection of member funds, a $5 million blanket surety bond covers such risks as embezzlement, theft, forgery, and burglary. In addition, adequate casualty insurance is in force. The Supervisory Committee would like to thank the members of Arizona Central Credit Union for the privilege of serving them.
