1 DISTRICT ONE PROJECT OVERVIEW Florida s Turnpike Enterprise continues to make project investments in District One. In fiscal years 2014 and 2015, current Turnpike projects total over $9 million within Okeechobee and Polk Counties. Summary of Major Project Funding by Project Type: The table below summarizes the funding programmed for the major Turnpike projects in the Tentative Five-Year Work Program (FY 2015/2016 through FY 2019/2020) that are located in District One. The project descriptions below this section identify and describe the major projects by county. 3 Regional Projects (continued): Implement All-Electronic Tolling (AET) 8 on the Turnpike/SR 91 FPN: This project will implement 8 of an overall program to convert portions of the Turnpike System into a cashless, all-electronic toll collection system. The project limits of AET 8 begin at the Lantana Toll Plaza on the Turnpike/SR 91 in Palm Beach County, and extend 148 miles north through Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties, to the Three Lakes Toll Plaza on the Turnpike/SR 91 in Osceola County. The 8 AET conversion project includes the removal and replacement of 30 ramp toll plazas and two mainline toll plazas.
