As professionals in the field ourselves, we created our first summit in Europe nearly 20 years ago Just this year we also celebrated our 5th edition in Asia with our For our inaugural event in Australia we are working hard to bring you the same quality that we deliver overseas, with briefings from the leaders who are shaping the new world of payments. We pride ourselves on the quality of speakers and the space we create that supports individual learning and meaningful networking. We are also very happy to announce our cooperation with AusPayNet to develop a dedicated program for Australia. Our goal with the Australian Payment Summit is to focus on innovation and to share insights and ideas from the experts involved in shaping this new world of payments. 7 Ke 0 Keynote Introduction by Rob Craig Chairman of Australian Payment Network Rob Craig Chairman of AusPayNet Mr Rob Craig BSc (Hons), BCA, MAICD (Independent director & Chairman) 28 years broad financial services experience across Australia, NZ and the UK in retail, business, payments, institutional banking, insurance and wealth management. Working with mid-sized and large corporates, specialising in leading large scale organisational transformation programmes. Currently Chief Operating Officer at Insurance and Care NSW (icare). Originally appointed in January 2014 as an independent director and Chairman. Recently reappointed for a new three-year term commencing on 1 January Chairman and member of the CEO Selection Committee and Remuneration Committee.

8 Ke 0 Keynote Keynote address by Dr Philip Lowe Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia Dr Philip Lowe Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia Philip Lowe is Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia. Dr Lowe holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.Comm (Honours) in Economics/Econometrics from the University of New South Wales. He has authored numerous papers, including on the linkages between monetary policy and financial stability. He commenced as Governor on 18 September He is Chair of the Reserve Bank Board and Payments System Board, and Chair of the Council of Financial Regulators. He is a member of the Financial Stability Board. Prior to his current role, he held the positions of Deputy Governor, Assistant Governor (Economic) and Assistant Governor (Financial System). He also spent two years at the Bank for International Settlements working on financial stability issues. Dr Lowe is Chair of the Financial Markets Foundation for Children and a director of The Anika Foundation. Dr Lowe is a signatory to The Banking and Finance Oath.

In an increasingly digitised world, higher customer expectations, regulatory pressure and the threat of disruption are driving banks and market infrastructures to upgrade their services and adopt new technologies. The NPP is a great example of how these dynamics have driven an unprecedented level of industry collaboration. But will NPP be enough to keep the banking industry at the forefront of payments innovation or will the more nimble upstarts come and crash the party?
